Oh tell me about it. I have them on my alto. They make a racket, have absolutely no grip but never show signs of wear. Good fun to slide around in. I don't want to change them cause any other good tyres I won't feel like thrashing them with wheelspins and handbrake turns like these.

Michelin Energy XM1, 185/70 R-14

Smooth ride and good grip and no tire noise. I am very happy with their performance. Good grip on wet surfaces. Recently, was cruising comfortably and confidently at 100kms/hr while it was raining.

Would have felt even better if I would have upgraded to 15 inches.

The tyres are pretty ok. The ride is nice and soft. The handling is not too bad compared to my older potenza RE88's. The tyres are very heavy and the side beading stone protector makes them look huge.

Tyre noise has gone up a little after one year but need to see if it's tyre noise or wheel bearings.

I would suggest go for these if you go over really bad roads as they can take a lot of beating. For normal city roads the Michelin Energy's are a better buy.

Mileage has gone done by 1.5kmpl since they are heavier and an upsize as well.

Would rate it 7/10.

Michelin Pilot Primacy

Pros:
- Low road noise
- Comfort biased tyre with some performance pretensions

Cons:
- Lacking in grip compared to outright performance tyres

Michelin Pilot Preceda 1/2

Pros:
- Fantastic Grip & Braking
- Good in Wet weather
- Low road noise for a performance tyre

Cons:
- Faster wear rate
- Stiff ride due to stiff sidewalls
- Tramlining in wider sizes on bumpy & rutted roads
- Road noise on poor surfaces

Good performance tyres & available at good prices too. Would rate them as equals to the Michelin PP range.

Well, me too. The gent seems to have gone silent of late. Must be enjoying his S.Drives too much.
