Default Petra with OZ racing Alloys & 205/50/R15 Yokohoma S drive

Just a week back, I upgraded by Petra to new Alloys and wider profile tyres from stock rims and s322.

Alloys : 98 pcd OZ racing 15 inches width- 6.5J.
Tyres : Yokohoma S Drive - 205/50/R15.

One thing for sure is that ride quality has not detoriated even with lower profiles (205/50), that means S drive are meant for comfort. another visible difference I can judge is that tyres noise have reduced by atleast 30-40%.

No differnce in Handling /Steering etc and car have giving same milage(10.5 kmpl in city) as it used to give with 175/65/R14.

Will write my driving experience about other aspects like performance/ Braking etc once I go for a long weekend drive.

Some pictures of the Car with this upgrade have been uploaded in my Pic gallery.

Just waiting to go on a long Drive.

So finally you have done it, excellent. Looks good Greatdrive.
Hope 15" wheels are not giving any trouble. And 205/50/R15 tyres, wonderful.

Congratulations

Thanks Siva.

15 inches does not have any problem until you have a right set of tyres.
Initially I was thinking for going in for 195/55/R15, but with that, Difference in circumference was coming as 39mm (2.13%).

With 205/50/R15, difference comes out just 9mm (0.5%). Went for Yoko's S drive as I heard good reviews about its ride & comfort etc and I am really happy that I decided for these tyres.

Thanks for Riju, who helped me get a good deal in Bangalore.

Cheers.

And from did you buy the same? Price?

Thanks

OZ racing starts with 15 inches. 14 inches are not available.
I think they are OEM for some fiat Cars in Europe.

GreatDrive,

I notice the left rear side of the car is sitting lower than normal. Anything the matter?

Good combinations of wheels + tyres, btw.

4 Steel rims are kept in the boot, Probably on the left side of the car, I guess.

Waiting for this weekend, have plans to go for a long drive.
In Bangalore, S drives (205/50/r15) costs Rs 4600 per tyre. May cost + - Rs 100 depending upon shops.

Bhishma did you get suspension checked ? Its a matter of concern if you dint as yet. Please do when time permits.

I suggest that you get the suspension hardened a tad little since the ride aint that hard with the 50 profiles.

Remove those rims from there if you are still driving around with them .

have a question to all Petra owners here , is the suspension too soft with the Petra's in comparo to the other cars ?

I found the Petra to have a much softer suspension than my baleno .

Ok for eye candy check this pic .

Congratulations once again.
