Congrats on your ride's new shoes. You'll love them during the rains.

Yoko and tyre noise? Highly unlikely! Especially on a comfort tyre(relatively) like the C drives.

Its the same with BF Goodrich tires.Very high road noise. I had Goodyear tires before I got the Goodrich ones, and I found a huge difference. I'd probably opt for anything else, just to drop the noise levels.

There would be tyre roar if you have advan neovas and do 150+. On most comfort treads (C-Drive, A-Drive), I doubt if it'd be any noisier than Michelin.

Btw BFG GForce is a decent tyre. Had it on a rental Chrysler Sebring V6. Grip was quite good.

Totally agree with you. Anything about 100kmph,and you'll have this 'constant hum'.Kinda gets to you in the begining. I have the GForce on my car,and its got the same issue. Superb grip, though.Rain or shine, even with a lot of sand on the road these tires hold well.

Bingo! The GForce are noisy, that's know but to say that every Yoko tyre is noisy is not correct Nitin!

Well, I have S Drives on my Getz CRDi and I do get tyre noise. But is it more/less than any other tyre?? I don't know yet.
I heard this thing about S Drives being noisy even from the dealer. Any thoughts from people using them?

Guys,

In Hyderabad and I need to buy one 195/60/14 tyre for my Aveo and the best deal I am getting is from Ritesh at Ashoka Tyres (Minister Road). The brand is BF Goodrich for Rs. 3,200. Is that a good deal?

This will be my spare tyre (already running 4 Yokohama ES100s) so my only condition is that I do NOT want a unidirectional or asymmetrical tyre because that would be an issue depending on where the spare will be used (in case of a puncture). So that leaves only 'normal' tyres.

Further, I am not particularly concerned about road noise etc. Don't except the spare to be used a lot! So budget is most important but no Korean or grey market imports either.

Please guide me as I need to buy the tyre by tomorrow morning (Tuesday 3.11) or latest by Wednesday!

Is it BFG Geforce sport? If it is, then it is a directional tyre.

Oops! Houston, we have a problem . It maybe the G-Force Sport, Nikhil.

I simply don't know - will go over tomorrow/day after and pick up whatever I get within a strict budget. I think ES100s are around 3.6k. May just end up buying another one. Between an authentic G-Force Sport (3.2k) and a ES100 (3.6k), which one should I go for given it will be lying as a spare?
