| BHPian | Naman, 3600 for PP1 is very good price. I got mine for 4K. My car is running on 195/60-14. PP1 are fantastic when it comes to grip and handling - be it wet or dry. Downside is they are a bit noisy on rough roads (as pointed my iraghava). Buy back at 2K is a cool deal man.

| BHPian | I planned to upsizing tyres to 185/65/14 increases GC by 40.84mm though 185/60/14 is correct upsizing but decreases GC by -17.28 mm 175/65/14 Vs 185/65/14 details ----------------------------------- Current RR: 291.55 mm New RR: 298.05mm Current circumference: 1831.86mm New circumference: 1872.7mm Difference in circumference: 40.84mm or 2.23% speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 71.56 mph whether this upsizing is Ok.i need to increase the GC.Cos GetZ has only 160mm GC. I know this is not the place to ask this type of qst. But i want to register my GetZ related issues in this thread itself. Please give me replies friends.

| Am no expert, but i guess your configuration will affect handling. from what i understtond, broad grips with lower profile gives better grip / performance, but a rougher ride. higher profile gives a softer ride, but not that good a performance. So am thinking maybe you should go for a 15" to have a higher GC as well as good performance? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong... |

| CRDi comes with tube tyres. 175/65 R14. They are inadequate for the power that the car delivers.

Please advice.

I spoke to tyre dealer he has a doubt that the Hub size (wheel offset)Inset/outset might have some difference between Verna and GetZ rims.

| Hi Guys, I'm expecting the delivery of silver getz crdi in this week. Plan to upgrade to the alloys asap. In all likelihood will go for Hyper Silver finish. SIze is 14"x6". Following are the few designs that I shortlisted. Please help me finalize. Thses are Stallion brand alloys. The tires have been finalized and am going for PP1s in 195/60-14 1. OZ replica ![]() 2. AMG replica (pic is in chrome finish in 15") ![]() 3. Multi-spoke pattern ![]() 4. One other design I liked ![]() Waiting for the replies Naman |

| I personally feel multi-spoke alloys suit hatches and the <8 spokes suit bigger cars (my opinion). I have a 12 spoker on my Getz CRDi and it draws attention whereever I go; but they are not the hyper silver finish ones since my CRDi is a Blackie ![]() Also, how much are you paying for these alloys? Are they Taiwan-made? I somehow feel the finish isn't great, or is it the picture quality? The tyre choice is good. I guess you went for them since PP2s are not available in 14".

| Hmm, Well the pics are taken using mobile camera and lighting in the shop was not too good. Otherwise, the finish was quite nice especially in HS (obviously not the best). The chrome finish ones were not good. I'm getting a set of 4 for 11K. Sourcing them from a uncle's friend. He's been using the same brand on his swift and lancer and has no issues (on the great MP roads). Getting 3 years warranty on finish as well ![]() Basically, price diff between them and brands like HR, league is a little bit too much to justify the difference in quality. SO a little compromise on alloys but no compromise on tyres. Personally, I liked the 4th one the best. IMO they will look classy and sober on a silver getz. Watsay ?? Naman |

| BHPian | Guys, As mentioned earlier in some other post, i am getting a strange (gurrr) sound in my getz crdi when doing even 75KMPH in 5th gear, i verified and the problem is with tyres. Initially i thought the problem is with alloys but when i mounted michelin PP1 195/60-14 on stock rims, the problem still exists. I talked to my tyre dealer and he said that he will talk to michelin. He gave me another option to go for some other tire+alloy as he will buy back my existing set i.e 4 alloys and 5 michelin PP1 (5th is mounted on stock wheel). I have clocked 2000 KM on michelins. He suggested me Maxxis MA-Z1 Victra 205/50-15 in 15 inchers (he does not have 195/50-15 which i asked). The tyres cost 4300. How are maxxis? or shall i buy 195/50-15 yokohama S drive? which cost almost same?
