I have installed Yokohama S-Drives 195/50/R15 on 15inch League Alloys i think these are 6Js,and there is noticible difference in the ride quality, you feel more grippy, good cornering,no screech noises and the ride is very comfortable and smooth, less bumpy only thing is at speed the tyres are a little noisy...but i love those noise, the steering wheel is also light,as i am using an sports aftermarket Replics steering wheel.

What would be the effect on ride and ground celarance?

What I had in mind for upsize was 185/ 60 R14.
Yes 195's will work fine on 5.5, I'm running the same setup on my car.

Nice car Ramie How much did the Tyres cost?

Correct me if Im wrong but wouldnt 5.5j rims be the better combination for 195/60/15 ? I would think for 6j, 205 would be ok.

Not that there is any hard and fast rule here but this is what Iv come to understand.

Both 5.5J & 6J will work with 195's perfectly fine. Infact, 6J is more ideal for 195 than 5.5J.

Yes, there is a rule for this too. Go through the Tyre Bible once more for details on the same.

Rajesh, thats because your getting it done through Advaith itself right? I think the tyres are available readily in the market.

As far as possible stay away from the Dealer accessories as they will try to shave you clean.

do not at any cost buy the tyres from the car dealer. if xm1 is an issue go for michelin mxv8. i for a fact know its readily available. the car dealer at any cost will not give you a good deal for the tyres. the tyre dealers outside just see that whether your tyres are not run more than 100 kms. you might get around 1000 bucks per tire for the old tire.

Yes,
I am dealing with Advaith directly and he is telling Michelin delivery within next few days is a problem. I called up two dealer given in Michelin India website, they said the same, But Advaith is still trying to get it.

Hence asking for better alternative in Bridgestone ? as a backup- SO please suggest.

He is giving 1450 Rs per tyre as a buy back offer.(Claiming its the best I can get)

And charging
Tyres-
Michelin-3.9K per one tyre.
For Aura- 21K for set of 5
For League-22K for set of 5.(To decide between two after looking at the actual samples)
All with B&W

Is it a good deal or bad for B&W?

Regards
Rajesh

@anju.
league alloys with B&W for set of 5 costs about 18k with all the necessary fittings like chrome nuts, german valves and fitting charges including wheel balancing and alignment. do go for league only. just dont call only people listed on the site. go to jc road, there are lot of shops there. you will certainly find the tires and a better deal, for alloys go to jc road and mission road. it is always going to be costly when you buy from the car dealer.

why go for 5, just buy 4 alloys and the spare a 14" rim with a cheaper tyre, trust me. you will rarely need the spare with a tubeless. even if you use the spare you can just go back to the alloy once the puncture is fixed, most of the times you dont even need to remove the wheel to fix a puncture.

before installing the size was recommended by our gurus here so no issues or uncomfortable rides with the upgrades.

I paid 24k in total for the set of four tyre+alloys in exchange with my old(new stock) ones.

cheers
