^ .On the basics most tyre brands are great. But we just need to look at R&D budget of major's like Michelin, pirelli etc vs the desi majors like apollo , mrf etc which gives a idea the competitive edge of the respective companies which is also visible in the lineup of the products from respective companies..

Also Apollo gets its technology from Michelin , Ceat from pirelli etc .

I have been running 195/60/14 Accelers on my vtec and so far had no issues with those tyres. They have good dry as well as wet grip.

I am not saying that "X" is better than "Y" but give the price of the Accelres it is definitely VFM. I personally will go in for a second set of those for daily driving.

The only disadvantage that I can probably think of them is that the sidewall "might be" just might be softer than the others cuz, I have cut 2 of them. First time I hit some stone and the second time some wire went through the sidewall making a gash. I feel had it been the stock Bridgestones the damage would not have happened.

Cheers
Shrey

I would give Acceleres a miss. I, for one, do not think they grip as well as XM1's as quoted by some here.

Default Apollo Acelere tyres

Hi,

My experience with them.

http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/long-t...ml#post1396676 (My Marina - its life so far!)

To be fair, the tyres indeed relatively quiet and I have no issues with grip whether wet or dry in my environments.

Hi all,

After going through so many thread i decided to go for apollo Acceleres for my Xeta 185/60 R13.Soon will share the photos. I see a lot of difference after changing to appollo.
Road Grip : Amazing
Corners : No more slides
Braking at high speed: good

Only thing which i need to analyse is the mileage.. For sure i guess there will be drastic drop due to solid grip.

Will soon share the pictures and my views.

Rate : Rs.2800 per tyre Tubeless hope this rates are ok.

Shresth i think even if u were running hard compounded CEAT which are in my car the sidewall would have given away. Check your running board bro. that explains a lot about accident.
Exactly my point. The tyre guy was just giving me bullcrap because I hadn't bought those GT radials he was trying to sell me.

The Conti tires he was trying to sell (CEC3) are prone to sidewall cuts as i have heard.

Abhib, even you require a tyre change now. Will you go for XM1 or apollo Acceleres?
About acceleres-my i20 is running on them amd they are of course less noisier then my MRF tyres on indica and they are comfortable.
As of now i can comment only this much about acceleres.

I'll go for Acelere considering its more VFM.

Default what size for getz CRDi ?

I am running with the stock rims and tyres due to cost factor .. Now i drove around 45400 kms (in 1 year 9 1/2 months) and i believe i got to change the tyres.

rjstyles69 suggested me to for for apollo acelere after listening to my requirements... (Thanks you RJ)

Now am bit confused whether to go for

175/65-14 or 185/60-14,

My concern is the Tyre change should not reduce my FE and with VFM.

Experts - Please advice
