Ditto

I think the word is competition - he cannot cream the market like he used to - Joe average will get his car dolled up at the dealer - so many other shops have sprung up. Within a 3 km radius of my house, there are 10 different people (half of whom sit side by side) . When I bought my amp/ subs, he quoted me 9000/6500 resp. By mistake, the saw the delivery invoice sent to him by the disti 9000/6000. He made his profit on the wiring/ plugs/ jacks. I reckon he made a 10% out of me - fairly reasonable considering the cost of the stock that he holds/ taxes etc.

Well, he does blabber a lot! By the way, which other shops gave you a lower price for the alloys? I hope you are not mixing-up League and HR prices......HR costs 1-2K more than league, depending on the design.

Well there's no question of mixing up prices or what ever u mean, as its the price i finally bought the HR 166 alloys at.

Any way here are the pics of the alloys on the car ( HR 166 )

Sorry about the bad picture quality ( phone cam and bright sunlight played havoc ) and the bad angles are mainly because, it was parked inside and did not have much place to work with.

Here are the alloys on the carbon and the city. The carbon came with stock alloys.

Oh! you were speaking with reference to Hot Tracks, my mistake.I read it out of context in my previous post. Well the brand, design and the size all were the same and both were hyper black. I got the same identical set of alloys for 17.5k while hot tracks quoted 20k. What took me by surprise was the sheer arrogance with which he told me that the wheels were one of a kind and cannot be found anywhere else in Bangalore. He did not want to reduce the price and he gave me a lecture on how he does'nt believe in discounting and that he always quotes the best possible price.

The fact is most of these alloys are imported directly from Delhi. So delhi is the place where u can get alloys for the least price. Came to know of this when my cousin wanted the BSA 307 model in 17" and he placed an order and the local dealer in bangalore got it from delhi in 10 days. He charged him for the transportation though. The pic of BSA 307 :

yeah, anil is very arrogant and slightly overpriced. unfortunately, he appears to be the only person in bangalore who stocks oz, hamann, bbs, amg, etc. though i'm not too sure of the authenticity of these makes, except oz, which looked pretty genuine.

Hey Neo,

Awesome choice of wheels on the ikon and city man!! The city looks like it has League LG065s 15" eh? One of my personal favourites (esp on a lancer).
Some more pics from a better angle (side & 3/4th) would be appreciated, if you have the time.

Does it make sense to buy a set of 4 alloys and keep a stock wheel as a spare? Would it significantly bring down the price, or do dealers insist on selling you 5 wheels?
