Price of 14" chrome HR alloys ?

I needed a set of alloys for my ikon. Since the car is black, i thought that the alloys in chrome would look good. The price of one of the HR models that i liked is Rs.22500 for a set of 5 14" alloys. Is the price ok?

Firstly, dude check if the alloys are original HR makes coz there are loads of fakes in the market 2day...Buy it from a dependable, genuine seller.22500/- is pretty ok but you can bring it down by a grand or so...Try to tap whole sellers,theyl give you great price option n also variety to choose from..

The pricing is pretty fair enough.Just make sure u ask for an official bill and warranty.Also the warranty should be of 2 years.

22500/- for 14 inch looks like Bombay kinda price. Chrome wheels are more expensive than regular one. But you can always pull down the price a little.

Which city are you in?

Go from dealer to dealer and ask/see the same size wheels in the same finish (or ideallly the exact same wheel), and then compare prices. 22.5k sounds steep to me!

Boss let me tell you,

I have HR 14" Mags, as you are from bangalore, the correct place for the mags is HOT TRACKS, recidency road, or OZZE , indiranagar. The price 22500 seems higher as i got the mags for 19K.

Hot tracks or any other place will charge you more for chrome alloy.
Your 19k is for regular or may be for hyper silver.

i think 22.5k is way too high for 14'' .. u can get 15'' chrome for around 20k in bbay and with a huge variety

The last I went to Hot Tracks, the prices were as below for 5 14" HR wheels (-1000 for League):
1) Silve Machine finish - 18,500
2) Black Machine finish - 19,500
3) Chrome finish - ~21K

The design i was interested in, was the HR 166 which is apparently a new model and so i guess they are charging a premium. The prices at car shringar and final touch on mission road were around 24k. Anyway finally bought it for 22.5k. The same alloys were available in hyper silver for 18.5k

There's no warranty but took a bill from the dealer.

Anyway wasn't interested in going to Hot tracks.He overprices it way too much. Spoke to Mr.Anil and he quoted a price of 20K for 14" multispoke alloys in Hyper-black when i was searching for alloys for my honda city.Finally bought the same set of 5 at 17.5K. He was telling me he could fit 17" alloys onto my Honda without any mods to suspension even after i mentioned that the cars will be used in pretty bad terrain when i go out-station. He went on telling blah blah about lots of things and how his mondeo has 45 profile tyres and how it's not effected by potholes and bad roads......Anyway i thought he was barking mad ( personal opinion dont mean to offend anyone )

Dealers often tend to press on 17s coz thats where they really get to earn, however saying that it will not affect ur drivability is pure blabber. There always a compromise between drivability and looks in such extreme low profiles (btw recently fitted 215/35/R17s on a honda city)

By and large Bombay price is less than Bangalore. Rs.22500 for a set of 5 14" alloys (chrome) sounds like Bombay rate.
You've checked the price in other shops in JC Road/Mission Road area and found it more expesive. It fially depends on how much you can pull down.

It's your choice to select a shop. I was also under the same impression about HotTracks till I started actually dealing with him. Three of us - Ajmat, killjoy and me think we got a good price from him.
