That's so that the dealer can size up the customer & charge him whatever he wants over & above his cost price. They're given a price to show to customer's which cleverly list the dealer's (supposedly) purchase price along with taxes etc. & the final MRP. What they conveniently fail to mention is that dealers are given discounts on the said purchase price by the company! So it's a complicated business which most consumers cannot understand.

That's true but Yokohama dont have any internal discounts. Very unfortunately. And tyre dealers hardly make profit on tyres. Margin is very less.
