Hey Shan, congrats on the new rubber! From the pics, there doesn't seem to be too much wear on the stock tyres even after 48000km. How did u manage that especially after those 2nd gear wheelspins?

That's bcoz it wasn't the worn out tyre. This tyre blew up one day (when the car was new), it has a big gap in the sidewall. This tyre must have done 2000-5000kms max. the 48K tyres are almost completely bald.

48K on a Vtec without tyre wear would be considered unethical. LOL

I've seen people who take pride in mentioning how qiuckly they wore out their tyres, brakes or clutch. Ofcourse, i don't think clutch wear defines a good driver in anyway.

Ask Iceman, he managed to wear out a set of tyres in around 4000 kms. Hehe

Congrats - you finallly made a decision- now put a strut brace and see the difference. Costs less than a tyre. If you need an input to make a decision, just drive my car....!

damn shan2nu man, you are so damn right about the Potenza GIII 195/60R14 tyres, since the day i installed them in my car its running exteremly smooth. the most wonderful thing is that - there is no sound from the tyres while riding the car. thats so awesome. Hell, first time in my life i have noticed the NHC engine do makes some noise because previously engine noise was absorbed by tyre noise.

Dude, this review is over 2 years old. GIIIs are now among the worst performance tyres you can find in the market, and they're more expensive than competing brands too. Next time, do your research better.

Now bridgestone is planning to start production of GIII in INDIA as GIII has been phased out in rest of the countries.
GIII has been replaced MY01s and RE001s.

Please check out for PP, PP2 from MIchelin and ES100 and S.drive from YOKOS.

As per informations received by sources Traction rating are as following

GIII A
PP AA
PP2 AA
ES100 AA
S.drive AA

Thanks for the "expert" advice.
I would say you went a little overboard with your so called "R&D"
