Hehe. Not true. It's like this. In every city, there are a bunch of tyre dealers who prefer to sell high end tyres. Yoko, Michelin, etc... So, when Continental has to enter the market, they cannot go to an Apollo dealer and ask him to sell Conti as the target customers are completely different.

So, they go to a dealer who is already dealing with high end brands and ask him to become a dealer. Because Conti's rivals in the market are not MRF/JK/Apollo but Michelin and Yoko.

So, if you know a Michelin dealer, chances are he will also be a Conti dealer.

Are the Conti tires available in the 195/55 R15 size?

I have been seriously waiting for the Conti CPC2 to be available in 195/55 R15.

Nikhil, any idea on how we source it from Conti. Is it possible to import them?

Yes it's possible. They have an airlift service. Any tyre you want they will take about 2 weeks to bring it in. It will cost a bomb though.

That would really be a big bomb for me

I am looking at the other options available with CPC2. I have checked with a dealer here in Chennai (Tirestore) and he is quoting around 5500/- per tire for 205/50 R15.

Is this is a fair deal or can you give me the approximate pricing.

I am also looking at a slightly bigger side wall which is the 205/60 R15. Is it ok to upgrade to this size?

For your Fiesta? 205/50 R15 is the proper size. OR go fo 205/55 R15.

Tyrestore is good. He more or less gives decent prices. Even this price is good. And not to mention, he does have some of the best equipment .

How good are the Continental ContiPremiumContact2 tyres compared to the Michelin PP2 in terms of Handling, road noise, comfort? Any user feedback on these ?
I am considering either 195/60/14 Continental or 185/60/14 (stock size) PP2 for Fabia.

It won't come near to even G3 in terms of braking and handling. It's okay on wet roads but would scream on dry.If you want good performance then stick to pp2.

Ummm CPC2 is supposed to have very very decent handling in dry and wet. Maybe not as much as the PP2s, but then the PP2s are ridiculously expensive as well. The CPC2 is very reasonably priced.

I seriously want to stick to the OE size. But the only good option available is the S-Drives. And I have mixed feelings towards the S-Drives and not feeling too confident in getting them.

Any other tire you would recommend in the OE size? Currently running on the NCT5 and the tires are no good for the 1.6S. The tires struggle while cornering and the grip is not to my liking at all! :(

Nikhil, any other Conti tire thats available in 195/55 R15?

Nope. Sorry. You want to go hardcore, go for the Advan Neovas in that size : . The problem is, once you get used to that level of grip, you wont be satisfied with anything else.

You can try Maxxis MA Z1 in 195/55 R15. Good tyre given it's price.
