I use 30psi and find it very comfortable. If the car is going on the highway with 4 adults, I use 32 psi.

Credit goes to Nikhil since he posted this somewhere.

Run your car at 32psi for 2 months, 30psi for 2 months and 28psi for 2 months. Somewhere during these 6 months, you will find a sweet spot. Stick to it.

Are the BS Potenza G3 still available in the market? They are listed on their site but not seen in the shops. Looking for 185/60/14 profile.

G3 hasnt been produced for more than a year now. Even if you do find something it will be old stock for sure.

Thanks Nikhil. My need is a hard robust tyre with sporty handling. I can live with high noise. G3 is something which meets the requirement. Is there any similar alternative from some other brand? I dont want XM2. Size needed is 185/60/14. Your suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

Not many options unfortunately. You may have some luck with Bridgestone MY02.

I changed my Ritz's tyres(Michelin XM2) around 2 weeks back and I saw BS Potenza G3. The DoT was 3713 and the cost of G3 for 180/70/R14 was either 4600 or 4900(can't remember but sure that either of these 2 rates were given). But the dealer did tell me that the company has again started manufacturing these tyres after a year. The dealer name is T-Mart, Sohna Road, Gurgaon. Hope it helps!!!

You can keep 30 PSI. You can experiment with plus or minus 1 or 2 PSI.

Hi
I just got Palio Stile 1.6. I need to change tyres since the stock tyres had hardened though just run 25000 kms since 2007.
My priorities in order are
1. Better sidewall and overall more robust since road conditions in our area is from good to not so good and bad.
2. Better wet grip and breaking
3. Reasonable ride and handling quality
4. Reasonable noise
5. Fuel efficiency, I am not worried.
Use will be on highway and town also.
Any good model From Bridgestone, Michelin, Yokohoma or Goodyear.
Heard about some Earth launched by may be by one of the above company can't recall.
Read last few pages but information was not sufficient for me to decide. Waiting for suggestions.
Regards Sanjay

185/60 R14 gives the best ride+handling compromise.

Yokohama launched the Earth1 tyres

Hi
Oh forgot to mention that I would prefer 185/65 R 14 over 185/60 R 14 for better ride quality though it would give more odometer error than latter. On this forum also I have seen people going for the same instead of 60 profile.
However suggestions are welcome.
Also if it give good service for 30000 km it's sufficient for me.
Anybody used Earth here, please share the experience.
Thanks and regards
Sanjay

Folks,

Planning to change the tires on my stile. Want to upgrade from the stock ones. Any suggestions on what would be a good upgrade? I am looking at better ride quality and less road noise. I am looking at 185/65 and considering yokohoma but one of my friend suggested G3 potenza from bridgestone. Which one is better? Also if I am going for 185/65 I would need o change the stock alloys to 14" right?

185/65 will foul the tyre with the fender. Stick to 185/60-14.

If you have stock alloys your car already has 14inch alloys.
