Well that particular tyre had a bigger cut kind of like the one on your tyre only bigger, I guess since it was the front tyre which took the maximum impact so the repair guy couldnt do much about it. So had to chuck it. Even the lip of the alloy got bent a bit but no major damage.

Didn't exacty get that... cut the mouth?? You mean he removed the valve, so that you could put a tube in? In that case, you should be able to put in a new valve, and the tyre should be good for use as a tubeless again!
