Has anyone fitted 205/50 R 16 already? I wanted to know if it is going to be too much of a stiff ride in ANHC.

What do you guys think of 17 inchers on the ANHC. Would it affect the performance drastically?

Sorry but, Does Comfort doesn't come with performance and vice-a-versa.. Anyways Comfort on higher side. As it will used in city driving mainly and once in a month for highways

It will impact the ride quality, bigtime, for sure.

Well the ride quality will suffer for sure and so will performance to an extent since the minimum width in 17" would be 205 or 215.

There are compromises to be made whichever way you go. More performance will compromise on comfort & vice-versa.

Possible options are:
Michelin energy MXV8
Yokohama ES100
Yokohama A.Drive
Continental ContiPremiumContact 2
Bridgestone Turanza ER60
Bridgestone B250
Apollo Accelere

Amongst these for comfort, you an choose amongst the Michelin, Yoko A.Drive, Continental, Turanza & Accelere.

That is given as the stock version for the Thai-ANHC Sports trim.

WOn't we get this size in the imports market?

It is supposed to be but availability is patchy at best. And I don't really know the production status of the ES100, but it is still officially available. I've been hearing for a while that they plan to discontinue it/have discontinued it abroad.

Well for one this is India. And two, nothing in that size is available yet since it won't be suited for any other car than the City. It might appear in the grey market but chances are low.

Suppose one had to choose between 205 R16 and 205 R17, do you guys think there would be a drop in performance if the 17s were kept on the ANHC? Im not talking about ride comfort, Im talking about acceleration, top speed etc.
If the profile of the tires in each setting were made to compensate for the rim size. As in, for example 205/50 16R or 205/40 17R. (I dont know if there are tires of that size, just using it as an example) Would the performace differ? Would it be better with the 16s or the same for both settings?

You would almost always burst the 205/40 within 10k kms unless you are a super careful driver driving on smooth roads.

And yes, i would expect a performance difference too given that bigger wheels/tyres in most cases equates to more rolling mass and hence will directly affect acceleration/braking.

BFG is available pretty easily in all Michelin dealers in Chennai. Costs around 4200 per tyre. But heard they get very noisy after 10k kms.

Hey guys ive come to my final 2 choices for my ANHC wheel upgrade.
Its between 205/50 R16 and 205/45 R17
Still theres a few more things i wanted to know before deciding.

1. I know ride quality will suffer but would there be a major difference in the ride quality between the 2 choices ive put forth? If not then i dont see why i shouldnt choose the 17 inchers.
2. Would the lifespan of the tyres/rims differ with either of the choices?
3. Is it true that 45 profile tyres can burst if driven on slightly bumpy roads over a period of time?
4. Can you fit a 5 bolt rim on the ANHC? The stock is 4 bolt. (I really love the Lenso Muse but its 5 bolt.)

1. Ride quality will be terrible on 17 inchers
2. Lifespan of a 17" 45 profile tyre will be 10-15000 km. They'll either get damaged or bubble thanks to horrid bangalore roads.
3. They definitely will have a lower life
4. No

I'd suggest you get 15 inchers or at max 16 inchers.
