| Senior - BHPian | Not sure what you mean... If you're asking if 4.5j rims are available in the marketplace, the answer is yes. You have many choices for rims, but since you are on a budget, would suggest you look at the Indian companies like Neo and Aura. Good rims at reasonable rates. |

The question that we've been confused for a long time here has been, what size do we take as stock & correct for the Lancer since either way, we get completely different sizes which are the correct upsizes. Hence, Vid's suggestion about 195/65 being an incorrect upsize.

I tried these on my car and have asked around with other lancer owners and noticed that it does touch. Hence I opted for the 195/60-14 which is in between the GLXi and SFXi tyres. I'm surprised you haven't faced the problem. What tyres are you using? I see the 5.5J SFXi rims on your profile pic. ps: what's with the sir? I'm not old you know.lol.

| BHPian | OOPS!Sorry for that "SIR". You are a distinguished BHPian. Anyway, I am using Goodyear Ventura for my Car and had not experienced any problem till date.I have carried 6 passengers to test whether tyres would touch, but no problem. I wanted good ride comfort and this was the nearest I got to the stock one.Earlier had 185/60R14 and the end result was I had to change Two shocks within 1 year. You might know the pathetic condition of roads in our state. Infact now if you come to Kochi you can go fishing on our roads..such is the pathetic condition of kerala roads Quote:

| Hello, Need your help. I will be getting the delivery of my new Getz Prime 1.3 GLS next week. The stock tyre that they provide is 175/70 R-13 tubed Goodyear tyre. I want to have a comfortable ride on bad roads, not much of high speed cornering. Also, I want to stick to 13" rim. Should I go for 185/65 R-13 tubeless Goodyear tyres? Please also suggest me the best kind of tyre (GIII etc.) for this. |

| Senior - BHPian | @sups: First of all, you should opt for tubeless tyres. Alloy rims are recommended too, especially since steel rims are more prone to bending, which leads to loss of air in tubeless tyres. Also, alloys are lighter, reducing the unsprung weight, which leads to a better ride. And of course, they look great ![]() Michelin Energy XM1 is a good comfort tyre, but you need to verify if they are available in 185/65/13. Goodyear Eagle GA Plus is another tyre that I would highly recommend, having used it on my Santro for 2 years with no issues. Again, pls check for size availability at your local dealer (the website lists just 165/65/13, but I know for a fact that other sizes are available). You have some options in Bridgestone too, but I don't remember the names. Hunt around in this section and you're sure to get them. |
