Firstly, 225 is a bit too broad for the Skoda. Wouldn't recommend it.

2ndly, i don't think GSD3s are available in the mentioned size.

This might help you choose the right one. It has all the models and sizes manufactured by Goodyear.

The GSD2s are available in 225/60 R15, not the GSD3s.

No idea, never had any off those on our cars. Maybe the Michelin and Goodyear runners can answer that.

I'm on Bridgestone GIIIs.

Well I run michelins- Certis (195/60 R14) and am extremely happy with those
Great comfort - very important when you go low profile

About the Pilots, well they are great but wear out really quickly being high perf tyres
ask Nitroxx he will tell you about that

The goodyears, well they suck as far as comfort and riding bums are concerned and they make a bit of noice too. Great in the wet from what i know

But i'd take michelins over goodyears any day

Karthik, I run 205/60/15 GSD2's on my Octavia. Ride comfort and noise are not an issue. Maybe revvhead has more sensitive "bums" than me .

My gripe with them however is that they start howling too early in corners. They hold on really well though. As far as the wear rate goes, I've done more than 17,500 km's on mine and they are as good as new.

I'd like to get the GSD2's over Michelins, but just wanted to know abt the performance. I heard that GSD2's are pretty noisy, and are they really?? Also what do u mean by "howling"????

Hey karthik,
Try the GSD3s.They are much better and more improvised than the GSD3s.Better grip, braking and cornering.Have driven less on Pilots,so would'nt be able to comment on the same. But 225 is too much for the Octy to handle on 15 inchers.205/60 would be perfect.

Yeah, yeah, Its supposed to be Riding Bumps!!!

Wll They are on a friends car, i guess part of that comes from being Low profile et all, But when i did switch from Bridgestone 3222 (or whatever) to michelins there was a significant change in ride comfort and my friends car which rides goodyears has a pretty harsh ride
