Sourcing / Buying OE Wheel Rims & Wheel Caps - Team-BHP

Hi all,

My Hyundai Accent 1.5 GLS has 15 inch Plati alloys wrapped in 195 / 50 R15 Maxxix MA Z1 Victra's,

But since I drive the newly bought SX4 now, the Accent is driven mainly by the driver for almost all practical purposes.

This basically Implies that whoever (Read: Parents) travels in the car complains about the pathetic ride quality.

I am in desperate need of the OE 13 inch steel rims, plastic wheel covers & if possible tires as well. I cannot buy them from the Hyundai A.S.S. as that would prove very very expensive, my car is almost 9 years old hence not worth the price.

I wanted to know is there any place in New Delhi / NCR where I can source them ???

Many people change the OE tires & rims the moment they get out of the showroom, how can I get hold of such tires and rims ??

Thanks for the offer, but I would prefer the OE steel wheels. Also I might sell the car in a year or two.

You will have to try your luck at the popular alloy dealers'. I wanted pressed steel wheels for my Santro sometime back & was lucky to find someone's discarded set with one of the tyre & wheel dealers in Kolkata.
If I hadn't, I would have gone to 2nd hand market in Mallickbazaar. I am sure there must be one in Delhi, too.

I finally found a set of 4 OE Hyundai wheel rims & OE wheel caps, at a tyre store in Karol Bagh, New Delhi.

The steel rims and wheels caps were new, they were taken off a brand new car just 2 days prior to my purchase.

The cost of the 4 rims & 4 wheel caps was Rs.: 1700/-

Is this price correct ??

Steel wheels usually go for 200 a piece in hyderabad.

Also shod my car with a set of 4 Bridgestone Turanza AR-10's @ Rs.: 2600/- per piece (Grey Market)

Overe here, I was quoted a price of rs400/rim that too after giving out my old rim to them.W.cover price was plus.
You seem to have got good deal.what is the condition?

Thanks Guys,

The OE rims & wheel caps were almost brand new.

They had been taken off, of a brand new Accent just 2 days ago (Just 50-100kms old).

The rims and wheels caps were absolutely spot / scratch less.

Will post pics, once the car comes back in the evening.

Wheel Rim Rs.: 350/- (per piece)

Wheel Cap Rs.: 300/- (set of four)

The Rims, Wheel Caps & Tyres are new. Only the Lug Nuts are old.

My Wheel caps of SRV are stolen overnight, when parked outside my friends house. When I enquired with Sundaram Motors in Bangalore, they're quoting Rs. 700/- per Wheel Cap. I guess, we can get the Wheel rim itself for this price. Also they don't have the stock right now.

Can anybody advice, where else can we source wheel caps in Bangalore and what would be the ideal price. Spending Rs. 700/- for each cap would be idiotic, since this part is prone to either theft or falling off on rough roads.

Can we claim Insurance for this Part?
