Stay away from Goodyears.
Get either Michelin XM1 or Yokohama Aspec A300 in 165/65-13.
It will be well within your budget of 3k per tyre.

Yeah Kpzen ( Prajesh ) is right.

Stay away from Goodyears - they are excellent tyres but tend to wear faster. More on performance vehicles and not Santros.

I just got my Stock tyres changed on my Xing ( Previously running S322 155/65 ) with tube and replaced to Michelin XM1 tubeless( 155 / 70 ). Great Ride quality and comfort now.

I paid 2400 for each tyre ( toal 9600 ) includes balancing, alignment, rims striaghtening.

Also got a Trackuit worth 1800 free with 4 tyres. Offer valid till end of this month. So go for these I would reccommend.

Actually the order currently is Michelin, Yokohama, Bridgestone & then the rest of the companies.

Your budget is good & if you keep the same size you can go in for Michelin XM1's, Yokohama A300's etc. Both are good tyres.

do u have santro
then this size is good. My friend has also got the same size of tyres.
But his is bridgstone Potanza. It costed him around 2800 per tyre. The Yoko will cost close to 3200 to 3400 each. size is good. mine is 165/65 and i m happy with it. 170/60 will giv you more grip. so driving will be more comfortable..

what i say is "GO FOR IT"

thanks mate, will check out both of these
and is there any adjustment to be done if i go in for 175/60/R13.

can any one help me with the pro's and con's of this size as the standard on a santro is a smaller size (width). So is it ok if i go in for this 175 size???

please suggest a good dealer for yokohama...

165/65-13 would be the best upsize for Zip IMO.
175/60-13 works well for Xing but i think it will foul in Zip..

yokos would be definitely cheaper than the Potenza GIIIs.

Default Tyre replacement guidance required

Hi,

I have a 5 year old Santro Zip plus that has around 66k odd kms on the odometer. The currrent set of tyres have worn out and are begging for a replacement.

Tyre And Rim Details

Rims: Standard 13" OE Steel Rims all around.
Tyres:

Make: Bridgestone
Model: B350
Type: Tube Type
Size: 155/70/R13

I am looking for a possible 165/70 or 165/65 upsize preferably in the tube type category.

The car is used as a family vehicle in Mumbai,so i can't sacrifice too much on fuel economy.

I'm also looking to upgrade to alloys and am looking at Aura Alloys or Neo.

Waiting for some gyan.

Warm Regards to all.

Get 165/65-13 Michelin XM1 or Yokohama A300 for your Zip but both are tubeless.
Any particular reason for not preferring the tubeless tyres?
If u are also planning to upgrade to alloys then getting tubeless tyres would be the best option.

Default Shoes for Santro

Hi Kp (hope u don't mind me calling u that),

The Santro goes out of town every quarter down NH17 into the Konkan. And there it has to travel through river beds, un tarred roads and what not. Even in Bombay, i use it as my Micro-Mini Suv, coz given the battle scarred excuse that masquerade as our roads, the tyres take quite a pounding.

I'm worried that tubeless won't be trouble free in my case.
