Default Tyre Companies Planning to Hike Prices

Almost all tyre companies are planning to hike prices of tyres from 3-5% citing increase of cost of rubber. Prices of natural rubber have followed an upward trend lately making major tyre companies to hike the prices.

The prices for all cars are already rising continously since past one year and this might not be a good news for all new car buyers.

Why do I have a feeling that there's a tyre manufacturers cartel in India?

Errr.... wrong info.

As of now, there are no plans to increase prices. Prices have gone up almost 10% since November 2009.

They all increased prices in December/Jan. Then they increased it again at the end of Feb after the budget was announced. Apollo hasnt increased it after the budget announcement and will increase their prices from 22nd March 2010.
