Default Wagon R tire upgrade, inner tire wall touching suspension

Guys, one of my friend got Yoko 175/60/R13 with Accelere alloys, ride is good except that the front tire inner walls (both right and left tire's)are touching the suspension, what could be done to fix/avoid this?

Will post pics as soon as get them.

Hey Wind Splitter I have a 15" 195/45 running on my Santro and its rollin' perfectly fine !!
The Reason, I have Alluminium Spacers in the front. May be You should try these or atleast advice your friend on the same.

But please do await responses from all the experts on this forum before you make the decision.

165/60 is the perfect upgrade, else 155/65, which comes on WagonR VXI. Now you need to look for spacers.

Adding spacers will solve the problem but I guess driving quality will go down.

You are absolutely right, Santro is already a tall boy design. Adding spacers will affect the handling a bit.

If the tires are hitting the side walls then will adding spacers will solve the issue? If i am not wrong spacers incerase the vertical height. In this case the inner walls are rubbing the wheel arch.

They are talking about wheel spacers and not suspension spacers.

Am sure he was hinting at the suspension spacers and not the wheel spacers. Coz with wheel spacers how does the driving quality go down ?
From what I have read here on this forum its only decreases the flex on a normal vehicle.

winsplitter please add a few pics.

My bad buddy. First I thought that they are talking about suspension spacers.

I also found that I mentioned the vehicle as Santro. Again this is a oversight on my part.

Thanks buddy. You are correct, I have seen a lot of threads talking about handling issues with suspension spacers and that caused this confusion. Now lets wait for some pic of the wheel.

Whoa!!! Is there a spacers for suspension too? I'm not aware of this? Could someone point me some links on this as where & how it is added? Till date I'm aware only about wheel spacers as you upgrade the tires & you add spacers to wheels & how does suspension come to pic? Educate me

Usually its made of rubber or aluminum and is added when you generally face wheel scraping issues in the wheel arches after a tyre upgrade.
Here's what it looks like

There is about one finger gap between the suspension rod and almost no gap between the coil spring, so when the suspension rocks and the tire moves up, at that point of time the inner wall touches the coil spring, so I think spacers should do the job, how ever I will post pics for better understanding.
