hey astrix

one things for sure one you put 17 inch rims on your v tec your ride is going to be really bumpy.and youll have to take a lot of care while you drive and make sure you drive slowly over potholes and bumps or your going to end up damaging your rims.before just looking at the price take these factors into consideration.

if you have then please post some pics of the rims.

Not a good idea. Stick to 15" wheels.

Check the tyre as well as the wheels' condition.

If the tyres are in good shape at the tread,sidewalls,etc.. Bargain from 30 and finish the deal at 35k. This I'm saying if u like the alloy design.

There's also a con. U'll suffer in the ride part as well as suspension life in the longer run. Think and decide.

PS: when u get those alloys, do post ur car's pics. I cant wait to see 'em.

16" is the maximum size a honda city can take, and u might have to make heavy modification to your car in case you want 17" alloys on your car, perfect size for a honda is 15" with 195/40r15 goodyear eagles

Hey Man,

Only one thing to say drop the idea. Trust me you will be happier sitting on 205or 215/50/15. The ride will not suffer and the handling will also be good.

The 17" will make the car handle real bad. Check with another member Jigarmuni who has 16". He is really unhappy with the handling. The only benefit is looks.

195/40 R15 is too small. 195/55 R15 will be perfect. Don't go in for anything below 55, without a suspension alteration.

punka the 17 inchers hes gettin are second hand.as they have already been used and are not brand new the asking price is 40k.

if you really really want them try to get it down to 32-35k but think twice before you get them.as mentioned before the only benefit will be looks with many drawbacks along with it.

Don't go for anytin above 16". Cuz if u do, its gonna spoil ur suspension, and damage ur tyres and alloys.

Firstly, thanks for all your opinions BHPians, love the rims in twisters picture. thats what tha alloys i want look like somewhat. Coming to how much they have been used, the condition is mink. Not even one of the alloys has a scratch on it. the were bought 1 and half months back and they are REALLY as good as new. And oh yea, since i was saying that i was'nt sure about the size, unbelievebly, they are 225/35 r17. so i dropped the idea of the tyres and now am buying only the alloys which he is givin me at 26k. ill buy 205 tyres then. let me know if the alloys prices are right. Thanks again BHPians.

Hey Man,

I dont think you got what we were trying to say. You cannot fit a 50 profile tyre on a 17" rim in a honda city without alterations as it will foul with the body. The only way to do it naturally is to drop the profile which will affect the ride.
