Just in case anybody is interested: Heard of a 1963 Amby - supposed to be all original except for upgraded brakes. The guy said it is working fine, giving about 10-11 kmpl ..

He is not selling it yet ..

thats way too much for a junked car. i paid 15k for mine because it was in excellent condition and had done 60000 original kilometres. totally we've bought 3 dolphins; mine, one more like mine though not in as good condition, and another one which has a slightly different body. The body was so bad we decided to make it a project car and so it now runs a Group A2 Fiat 1100 engine with S1 gearbox. The latter two cars were bought for 3k each.

Well, this certainly qualifies as an Indian Built Classic and with that baby pink colour it should be driving Miss Daisy around. What was the guy thinking when he painted her like this?? Well maintained tough. Was dying to see who gets into it so I could take a pic. I think he must've noticed me coz till i was waiting, he did'nt even come close to the car and the moment i just went across the road and got back in around three minutes, he was gone...so was the car!!
Do you think i should paint my fiat 1100 in this colour

This is a great thread. Lovely pictures all around, too bad that all these old delightful cars are allowed to moulder and crumble to bits.

Any chance of some Tempo Matador pictures coming up? I am looking for reference material...

There are some Sipani production numbers listed in old german Auto Katalogs (which is also where all those Czech Sipani/Badal pictures came from), I will check closer tomorrow.
