The green car is a 330 series Datsun Cedric/Gloria. I'd say a 4th gen. from 1978. The smallest engine on these cars was a 1,982 cc 4-cylinder, and the biggest on the 280-C was a 2,753 cc 6-cylinder.

This car is a repaint with non standard rectangular headlamps, grille and mirrors. The original would've had quad headlamps.

Found some more pictures of the car. Can anyone decipher the first line on the plate? The car appears to be a static display.

Karl :
The plate reads K. Shubhkaran, Udaipur, Mewar.

We don't know which Shubhkaran owned this car.
But Rana Ugrasen had two sons Prince Karansingh and Prince Shubhkaran of Mudhol.
Cheers...

Congratulations!!! our family is 6 years young today!!

OMG!! it seems to be a legandary car how come ignored till now, its pretty much in restorable condition, what makes me wonder is the gearbox or engine block still there inside the coach.

where is the car located, it seems its inside some compound that may be the reason the block is still safe. Hope some BHpian would give a new life to this baby, feeling really sad for this Austin rotting like this.

Can somebody throw some light on this car's history.

Wow didn't know about this one. I was told that the car broke in half because it was lifted by a crane. What's the real story behind this ?

According to karl, most of the vehicles there, including the Bedford van had been scrapped shortly after he took the pics.!
