Super finds and love the state of the Packard Clipper 6 . I think so as the side trim on the Bonnet depicting an 8 or Deluxe is not there or not visible
.

Cheers

Sad but true. As im aware of who has taken the car for restoration and also to whom the car is given, i know for sure that it will disintegrate away. Sad for the actual owner.

Not the same car, Sirjee! This is convertible, V16 posted a sedan which was originally lying in a closed garage in Matunga/Sion and we have passed regularly. The blue convertible was never missing its engine.

HArit is right, its a sedan and not a coupe or convertible. It is indeed the Sion car enclosed in agarage for years. We had to cut the rusted garage door and get it out, along with millions of roaches and a huge generation of Rodents who didnt like their abode taken away.

I doubt it will be restored or see the light of the day, everyone connected seems disinterested until you make an offer, then they say "Its under restoration and not for sale" A usual dialogue before the car sadly disintegrates.

'This' thing always happens , its a mystery for me . Why people don't allow a vehicle to be rescued ,if they simply even cant inflate a tyre ?

I think it becomes some ego issue , something like ' I cant do it so no one other be able to do it ' . What could be another reason ?

Its a totally negative mindset to let the vehicle rot

I went through this myself , had an old car with me . But I took the decision to part with it because it seemed an unlikely task for me to restore it ( cosmetically ) . Everyday I used to think about proper restoration but I accepted it finally . Now its in good hands & I am happy too

Everyone is not you Sudershanjee. I dont think its an ego issue i think its sheer stupidity and selfishness. If i cant restore it so no one must have it syndrome. Also i have seen some cars sell lesser than what we offer them and they are sold to some scrap guy for a fraction of that amount. Thats when the ego issue comes in. So many cars i know of have gone to dust because of selfish people like this.

Sad indeed that people alow cars to rot away rather than give them to someone to restore. My slightly guilty here too.
But many times there are issues, no docs, family feud, taxes due, blocking property space, there are so many reasons. And then some have sentimental value, or "It was a lucky car" kind of thing. Some more will say "ek din banayega", others will say that a foreigner came and offered a Rolls in exchange, so he is holding on.
If none of the above apply, then there is EGO, a very valid reason for holding on.

Cheers harit

Not for sale . The Morris in blue is a complete car.
I fail to understand why people just leave their prized possesions like this, and over and above they have EGO problems with them "Not for sale" They will let then rot but will not see some one making them alive and make them see their cars again running on the roads.

The mechanicals must be somewhere around.. it looks like it was taken apart for a restoration, which has been abandoned halfway through.
