There is also this bug rusting in the same place!
Hey, this bug used to belong to a friend of mine in Sec'bad. He had bought it for parts and had it lying outside a garage in lower tank bund for a long time. It had the fenders intact then though, the front fenders were red.

A few people had wanted parts off it but my friend refused saying that he had plans to take it down to his farm, convert it into a bar, etc.! Looks like it was sold on.

Here's a pic. of the same car taken last year, with yours truly!

Default This Ford has been in the same place for quite a few years now, any idea about the mo

This Ford was lying for long time near Sham Talkies Lakdi ka pool. Ford body was completely build and I think it has 4 cyl engine. Hind Motor Driving school used to have red Ford since 50's, don't know where it is now. My brother have Ford-Y 1933 waiting for full restoration. One Ford Angela seen in Sec'bad few years back.

Cheers!

Tudor refers more to the body style, sedan with 2 doors. It is a Ford Model A, should have a 4 cylinder engine.
There may be only around 6 to 7 Tudor's in India.

Cheers harit

So you love Jimmy Shine ha, I love him too. In fact I am a big fan of Hot Rod, but them in India it is a scarity of these cars that the purist side of you get over the Hot rod side .

Ohh Many Hotrod Fans here mainly ones who want to build one. I am shortly undertaking a such a project. However i am not using an original Body, but getting it replicated by my fabricator - "TinMan" as i call him.

Oh nice to hear that. Chopping lowering, hotroding can be replicated to most of the cars. However the radiator is that of a 32 I think. Actually in US they mix and match model years as per their liking.

I would love to be in yankee land working out on those hot rods .

I'd showed these pics. to Phil Homer of the Standard Motor Club, UK and he has confirmed that the maroon car is not a Standard. He has had a further opinion that it is a 1937-38 Singer Bantam.
Here is a pic. of a similar car:

So you mean the Standard Nine which is lying around with three other rusted vintages is not a Standard but is actually a Singer Bantam?!
Attaching a pic from google of a 1935 Standard 9 Saloon and the Standard-cum-Singer which I had shared earlier, look at them and also the Singer Bantam, they all look the same!

Looks more like the Bantam. Simple things like the rear quarter window snap. Lip above the door, Front door shape. Front A pillar vent. There could be more if one sees closely but still they look identical from a basic view.

Cheers

Yes, It looks more like the Bantam. Look at the Front and Rear Mudguards. Also the Curve of the rear Window and the A pillar as Kasli rightly mentioned..

No this is not in India. Dont know the Powertrain as of now. I Posted the pic just because i remembered it when we were discussing Hotroding and its rust in pieces as of now.

I am thinking of a Ford or Austin Based Hotrod. Actually I had acquired a Morris Minor Body Shell to get it HotRodded but that remained a Distant Dream.

Here is what i wanted to Use
Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars-scan0021.jpg

mated to a Mercedes V8 engine i was going to acquire.

And Convert it to something like

Or
