The yellow and black Model A coupe (don't know what the correct term is) caught my eye. I don't think I've seen another one in this bodystyle, .....
I guess this is called a 5 window Coupe, even I am seeing this body style for the first time. The 3 window coupe is what we all have mostly seen.

Cheers

The yellow and black Model A coupe (don't know what the correct term is) caught my eye. I don't think I've seen another one in this bodystyle, and there is a huge survival rate of Model As, especially in Jaipur from what I can see (I can count 6 just in this rally!). The green Desoto convertible also looked very pleasing to me, especially with the period plates in the right combination. I've always thought I would buy a car of this sort some day (would even love the blue Dodge Stationwagon), but with soaring prices and fewer and fewer clean cars available, this seems a distant dream.
The Yellow and Black Model A, the owners are calling it a Roadster/Rumble seat. The body of this car has been built from scratch, they just bought the chassis with the Bonnet and nothing else ,they have done a great job, though I think the colour is too bright.

some more pictures of the car

The green desoto came to the rally for the first time from Beawar, it is with owner since new and is a very original car, it has just 16000 genuine miles on the speedo.

Looks pretty impressive. Plus I think when one is creating a replica/new body from scratch, some artistic licence is definitely permissible. Glad a car has been saved.

Any more detailed pictures of the interiors, engine bay etc? Would be great for reference.

The green Dodge Charger was originally a Pune car- and prior to that, Gujarat.

Now- IIRC this car also had a MH12BP registration. So- in all probability- This car is running on (proxy) original plates.

Now reregistered to RJ14 whatever. Credits: Karlosdeville.

I spoke to the owner and they have taken all the body details, measurements from the Ford manuals and Ford Model A club, this style is called the Ford Model A- 5 window Coupe.
