Are you sure that was the same car? As a similar blue car usually stands in that spot, MH 02 registered. Or maybe one was replaced with another.

This other 1936 Buick 90L is originally from Nagpur but is now with Mr Diljeet Titus. He has restored it better in a greyish blue body colour with black mudguards.I saw it a year or two back in pictures in Swagat magazine.
The car was originally in a dark brownish maroon shade and excellently kept. It belonged to a mining magnate, was grounded for a long time but was later sold to someone who made it like this.It appeared here in 2003 last, when I photographed it.
The other cars owned by this magnate were a late 1930's two- door Ford V8 convertible (not seen since decades) and a Dodge Kingsway among the collectibles. He had other Indian cars in his fleet. The Dodge Kingsway is still in Nagpur with my friend and featured here.

Sir What happened to the Bumpers of this car ? In the pic i uploaded the car had bumpers and in the one you uploaded it is missing them. Do you have a copy of the Magazine you are refering to so that we can get a idea if the bumpers were put back or not.

Indrojit, the Triumph 2000 is quite exotic. Must be among the few in India. There are however quite a few Jaguar 1.5 L 's of that age in our country.
I have pictures of the 1936 Buick in its original avatar clicked sometime in 1988. I shall also try and locate the Swagat issue that had a cover story on Vintage Beauties also featuring this car.

Anjan, there is some confusion here.
The car shown by you without bumpers was an original Nagpur car, belonging to the erstwhile Empress Mills. She was sold on to Delhi, but I do not think that it is with Titus.
Titus has the Ayodhya car, silver, and the second Ayodhya car will be in the upcoming Museum in Gurgaon. Titus has that 1938 limo from Trivandrum, which is being done in blue. That is a 1938. I know, both the Nagpur and Trivandrum cars went by very close to me.

Cheers harit

Looks like a Buick. Not sure of the exact model name, though.

Yes that is Shah Alam Khan with two of his Buicks. His family owned the Golkonda Tobacco Company

He has five vintage cars, three are Buicks, one Packard and one Dodge.

All the cars are with his family from new and all are in immaculate condition. They are rarely seen out though.

I particularly love the Roadmaster behind him which has those lovely portholes on the sides. His 39 Buick Limo is also a class act so is the 38 / 39 Dodge Convertible sedan. The Packard I this is a 47 / 48 sedan

Most of his cars are pictures on this forum on different threads.

ALL the cars have their original APX regestrations
