Extremely sorry about going but any news on these scoots?? Are they still there?
Is the owner willing to give them away or atleast any parts from them (since he is said to've got them for free)??

Do let me know

Default Standard Herald Mark3

Attached are some snaps of a Standard Herald Mark 3 that Shreeram found (and pain-stakingly followed through) and helped me aquire. The car (though have not seen it personally) seems to be a lovely bottle green colour. It seems the car was in use till somewhere around 1994 and work on it will hopefully start after May. Attached are some pics before clicked by Shreeram and Karl.

Will be asking for advice on restoration as questions arise. Still looking for that elusive Mark 1

Congrats on your buy, Vishal!

Incidentally, as I told you I had attempted to buy this very car around 4-5 years ago when Karl first sent me its pics...but unfortunately he couldnt locate the owner then....anyways, I'm glad its nevertheless been rescued at last!

I'm also glad the car hasnt deteriorated much since I last saw its pics....the dashboard thankfully is still intact (the cloth padding over it is non-original anyways, so no issues losing it!) although missing the glovebox (I have one in metal if you want it).....
Also I think Karl has a pair of those headlamp/indicator cowls, one I think is in the same colour as your car so it should suit it perfectly!
The official name of your car's colour would be Conifer Green (had seen it mentioned in a period mk3 brochure)...

'looking forward to seeing more pics.!

I doubt it. Its being restored as it is. And I first need one of every Fiat assembled in India before I start picking up imports.

Good luck with that!

Here's one of 2 Morris Eights I spotted outside a workshop I visited yesterday...the other was more or less similar condition but covered in red oxide...

'looks like a slow restoration....it has the name "Appa Rao driving school" painted on the side, which was a telugu film a few years ago....I wonder if this was a car used in that movie!

These cars might be up for sale eventually as I've heard that the guy in question buys cars, does them up and then sells them...
