WOW! Beautiful pix iraghava! They seem to tusning beautiful. Just 2 questions.
1) Why is every bel-air these days being painted yellow?? Kinda reminds me of the new york checker cab!!

2)The Fairlane had a power hard top in the 60's?? Then what was all the fuss for when the SLK was launched??

So did the Thunderbird and so many others. I had a 66 Galaxie with a hard top. Why, even the Desoto/Plymouth was available with a power top in 1954 and cars came with this option even much earlier.
The SLK was the first new world hardtop/softtop wherein the hardtop folded and went in the boot mechanically.
Peugeot had already beaten them with this concept with its 402 eclipse way back in the early thirties which resurfaced again in the mid 90's with the SLK.

iraghava

Is this your car?
Is this in mumbai?

Car looks great.
Yellow is very attractive colour accoding to me.
Only point I want to know is how silver colour will look with yellow.

Yup it should as Iraghava says and it did come with that option my point about the SLK was that it was the first "NEW WORLD" car repeating this option.
This is not very popular because the top folds down in the trunk which leaves very little trunk space.
