This is a really old Picture. The place exists and is a private collection and a personal garage for the collection. This particular gem and a very very rare car, as Amol has said, has moved on, not sure where and to whom.

Nice to find them here, both the Merc and Range Rover belong to the same owner, the Range rover has gone through an extensive mechanical restoration project and it seemed like never ending. It has lamps that can blind in daylight.

He wanted to bring one of his cars for the classic car drive, we used to have on sunday mornings.

Maybe but obviously a fabricated one. This seems to be the one sitting since ages at the garage beside the old Auto Chenoy building near Paradise?

The Willys looks to be in great shape and to have one with an APX number would be a great collectable. Any idea if it is 4x4 and if it still has the petrol engine with it ?

Is it for sale ?

Wasif, are you serious?! Surely you don't intend to ship it over to the UAE?

I have been through Bazaar guard/ghat(?) earlier but 'dont recall seeing this jeep. Maybe a recent addition. Long time since I've been there.

There was a white/cream one junking there though.

Hey Wasif / Shyam,

This Jeep is parked in one of the by-lanes when you are going from Income tax office(Ac Guards) towards Bazar Guard/Ghat. It is with a Mechanic He says that it belongs to a Nawab & is in the process of restoration. It is standing like that from the last 2 years. It is got all the original Cosmetics items & body is solid with no corrosion but has an Inter Diesel Engine with 2 wheel drive. The Mechanic claims the it is not for sale. I went behind this willy for over a year & then left the chase however am still interested. Everytime I pass by I make it a point to visit the mech .

LOl...not to import to UAE but to keep in Hyderabad. I used to have one of these but it was in a very bad condition.

The roof was totally rusted and Aman had repaired it with filler instead of metal !

Ideally I would want a woody but then its so rare these days to find one so I wouls settle for an APX or APY regestered steel body wagon but with 4x4 and the original straight six petrole engine if possible !
