2K!!! No way!! And in Bombay you get the Steel ones. Not in Aluminium. How Good is the Scrap yard set?? If it is perfect, and money is not a problem, go ahead and pick it up.

Aluminium delight side beadings are worth their weight in gold !! (I'm assuming they are concave in section.. ?) Pick them up, though 2k seems expensive. Never seen them in Mumbai except on the odd car / cab. However remember, if they are dented or bent, it is nearly impossible to restore / straighten them.

Arrey, didn't the later delights and super selects come with chromed or SS beadings ? Correct me if I'm wrong. With the premier president they reverted back to aluminium beadings..

For Indian cars, the Super Select was offered with both steel (glossy) and aluminium (matt) side trims. I do not know when or why. Probably the glossy units were carried over from imported models, and the matt units were localised (I doubt matt units were offered internationally).

Indian Delights always had matt finish trims, President included.

What is fairly easily available in Bombay today are local glossy repros. Beggars can't be choosers!

Default Meet time..

People, what's happening to FCCCI Mumbai ?. Look at our August record - No monthly meet, no 15th August Pune trip, hey, we didn't even meet to celebrate our second anniversary ! Shouldn't we be ashamed of ourselves ?
6th September is a sunday. Let's definitely meet, and plan a MEGA MEET cum DRIVE, like we had last year - probably even bigger than last year. Let's plan that for October or November, but we need to start preparing from now itself.
