Yup, they live in Belgaum. I've sat in the car, it's soooo comfortable !! Wish I could've had a Siena in its prime.

+1 to that.
But then thought that shade of violet(?) which one gets to see on many a Merc makes the car appear dark blue or sometimes even black depending on lighting conditions and distance of viewing.

No no... this is a sort of a "dual vision" shade that Sienas came in.. Appears purple/violet most of the time, and turns a light blue-green in certain light conditions. Lovely colour.
This "dual vision" thing also happens in many fabrics, particularly sarees.

BTW why not move the FCCCI rally to December when I can Participate
Afterall we have it only once a year. How about a poll?? Besides the weather is cooler and more festive.

Cyrus you can have a dress rehearsal in November to inspect and see all cars are fit and fine

Amol, the meet won't be the same without the "Blue Pearl of FCCCI"

My natural instincts were telling me that November will not be condusive for the rally and I had recommended Dec/Jan myself when I met Cyrus a few days ago.

For November, we can have a mini meet/rally at a cool joint and fine tune for a Superhit rally on December 6th.

I am game for December myself BUT am doubtful on November.

Yes, I'm familiar with this kind of colour, it is known as Harlequin. You can find such a paint here too (on the bike):

Marchio Auto Body Repair and Collision Center

Chart showing more of such colours:

'had infact seen a pic. of a Morris Minor painted in this kind of paint in some Auto mag (forgot which, stopped reading them eventually) years ago. That was when I got to know the name.

And yup, you're right, there are sarees in such shades too.
Really Brilliant IMHO! But wouldn't really want it on a classic, still a purist there!

Guys, please note that 6th December is Ambedkar Jayanti. Followers from everywhere would be roaming around the city especially in Dadar and southwards. We would need to be extra careful (we always are) with our cars her the ornaments like wheel caps & monograms on that particular day.

Regards,
Adheesh Parelkar
