The car has been reupholstered and repainted, but retains almost all original parts including keys.

A long time ago when we spotted it in Pune, it looked exclusive even then but unfortunately, I couldn't get a close look as she was in moving traffic on the opposite side.

Come over to Pune anytime and I will show it to you. I've been seeing the car since childhood when it was with first owner, then with my mechanic who did some work on the car and painted it. Then it was bought by an acquaintance, and is in daily use as the only car.

Incidentally the car is driven by a lady chauffer.

Prices are very relative, but a decent car can go between 20-50k, maybe more maybe less. These days most probably more. But a nice original car should not be left. Regarding 'when' they will be collectable - i'd say they already are!

Going through old magazines recently given to me I came across this discovery, in America in 1995. Was this really a 1958? And it could not be sold when new, so put to pasture?
A 1100D of around 1964 was indeed imported into India from Washington. It was left hand drive and had a dealer monogram on it which you can still see on old American cars. That car was with President for a while.

The price varies from seller to seller, from 25 k running but non original to 110 k for restored and original. Prices have gone up due to increase in demand for them also.

Restoration in Rudy's book = get an original car, strip it of all wheel caps etc, paint the wheels black and if hes feeling very restorer types still, then the bonnet and hood may be painted black too = once an original car now car (rudy) restored

Nice to see the fiat demand grow. Sighted a not so good Padmini being done up, at an acquaintance's garage. The engine was removed, body and floor rusted.The engine was removed to be completely overhauled and the body is going to be replaced. The owner is committed at doing up the car and is spending 80K on it.

PS- On my request he made a network call, to enquire for any fiats for sale, the other guy asked "Bawaji Hain Kya? "
