What a great event it was. Unfortunately i had to reach elsewhere for a function so had to get out early. The Kadamb family cannot be thanked enough for playing the perfect and gracious hosts. Sameer Bhau, thanks a lot for everything and every minor detail from parking to a superb breakfast and excellent lunch.

The event was a huge success with the Fiat family coming in their respective cars. The convoy on the expressway drew a lot of applaud and thums ups.

Its events like these which bring out the families together. If im not mistaken the next one is slated for Mahableshwar? Well i can tell you one thing, im in!!

Scooby's Nano and Gypsy were other eye stealers.

Default More Pictures - FCCCI Drive to Lonavla, Hotel Kadamb Sahyadri, Sunday, 7th Feb 2010

Our FIATFul drive to Lonavla in our Unique and Rare FIATS on Sunday, was indeed a memorable one.
We are extremely grateful to the Kadamb family for having invited us over to Lonavla and the hospitality offered by them is surely going to be in our FIATful FCCCI memory. I must add here that, it was very thoughtfully organised and we felt at home, whilst over there, with Mr. Sameer Kadamb and his family.
Needless to say, the team effort from Mumbai and Pune FCCCI family was pretty evident, to make it a Mega successful drive and a great Sunday, well spent, for all of us.

Our special thanks to Mr. Fali Dhondy - for having driven down from his base in Lonavla, taken a U-turn at Sion, and returned back with fellow FIATians in his FIAT SPYDER, showing his true FIATian spirit.

We also thank Mr. Merchant (80 yrs young), owner of 1950 - Two door rag top Topolino FIAT, who welcomed us with a banner at the Lonavla entrance, with his family and car. Incidentally he has toured all over India in this car with his wife in 2006 for a period of three and a half months. Another feather for the FCCCI cap. Congratulations! Mr. Merchant.<br /> <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7812.jpg <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7807.jpg
We also appreciate, special participation of our Dannybhai who joined us with his wife on his Birthday for the drive in his modded OHC.<br /> <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7803.jpg <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7800.jpg
and...last but not the least, we are ever so thankful to our Abhi -aka "Speedy" on the forum, to regularly join our Drives in his Merc ML 320 SUV and offer escorting throughout, with the help of which this time Cyrus also managed the professional expressway drive shots.<br /> <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7793.jpg <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7814.jpg <a href=Fiat Classic Car Club - Mumbai-cimg7923.jpg <div style=

Default FCCCI mega rally to Mahableshwar

Dear All, can we have a show of hands for all those interested in going for a FCCCI mega drive to Mahableshwar. As this will be a overnight trip and we will have to look for suitable accomodation in Mahableshwar. Hence its is essential that we swing into action immediately as this being peak season in Mahableshwar it may be difficult to get accomodation on short notice. The drive can be either via the old Bombay- Goa highway via Mahad and Poladpur (more scenic) or via Pune.(longer route but great road). The drive should be about 250kms -285kms (depending on the route) each way.

This drive will definately test the endurance of our classics and should be a great way to test the bond between you and your machine

So should you guys be interested please add your name to the list.
tentative dates. I think the Holi weekend is a long weekend and will give us enough time to really have a great time there. As usual friends and family are welcome.

It was my first trip with all of you guys and the event was highly successful and enjoyable. I was not able to locate the place at Mumbai from where you started but I went ahead and stayed put at Diamond Gardens from where I joined you all. Thank you all guys for the excellent time. Thank you Mr Kadamb and family for the lovely treatment of food and vintage cars. Amazing!

I think as our usual meetings are on first Sunday of the month that would be preferable ie 6th and 7th of March besides I think 8th is a holiday for Holi if I am not mistaken. So that will give us an extra day to recuperate from the excitement of the drive.
