I think they came in two versions.

One was the car in discussion and the other one was as featured in the picture below , the blue rusting one.

I think that was a original Indian modification

Well, in this case, they have had the car since years and have a garage. It is used as a daily runaround.

Why not post some pics of your car here. Also do come for our Monsoon drive slated to happen some time soon. Keep watching this thread.

It is really good to meet people having fiats in good condition. Earlier i used to feel that Fiats in mint condition are pretty much a rare sight. But since i have been to the FCCCI meets, its a different feeling altogether. I will post my Fiat's pictures as soon as the moderators accept/ go through my first 25 posts.

Default An Interesting Story !!!!

During the late 70's, there used to live one gentleman in my building, Mr.Oak (may be diploma engineer, doesn't have exact details) who used to work for Premier Automobiles Limited, Kurla Plant. He was very fond of racing, used to be a regular participant in various rallies.
While working with Premier Automobiles, he has participated in one rally, where he won the 1st prize, PAL has gifted him a brand new blue colored Premier Padmini which he used regularly, doesn't know its exact registration number; but my grandpa told me that he used to love his PP very much & used to keep it in the shed during rains, used to polish it once a week & also told me that he might be still having that gifted PP with him.
Now, no one from the building is having the details where is he now, only thing they know is that he left our building in 1986 & shifted to Thane.
Trying to get his address if possible !!
All other FCCCI members & especially Behram Sir might add some further details.

Are there any such cars in India ?
Calcutta collector/restorer Choudhury from whom I purchased my 62 Fiat WBF-1 and loves wagons or estate cars has this one being restored.

After you finish typing your post, go to "manage attachments". You'll get a window that says "browse". Select the picture from your computer, and press "upload".
After it says "done", send your post. Simple !!
