At this rate, we are unable to get a suitable date which is convenient to all. So lets take it easy for now and have a Sunday meet on 2nd January 2011 (probably 5 gardens) to decide and finalise concretely for the mega Rally date.

@CYRUS: Thanks for keeping an eye on us.
You are surely missed at all the FCCCI meets/drives. In fact, at the last meet we were planning to have an FCCCI Mumbai - London Drive to catch up with you, or sponsor your airfare, so that you can be present for the Mega Rally.

Hi Roni, can we have this meet on the subsequent Sunday, as I am sure many members may be out of Station because of the long weekend. I know I am

no issues if you want to proceed with the 2nd anyways. Look forward to the mega rally

Hi Abhijeet, great to see you here on team-BHP.
Guys, Abhijeet has a lovely 'blue and white' '61, in OH-Ree-G-Nal condition - she almost looks like 6839's long lost sister .
I've just seen her pics on FB.
Could you post some pictures here Abhi ?

This is the land (Goa) where bugs (Beetle) go underneath FIAT's are no big deal but, I don't know why people who know the value of the vechicle still allow them to rot. Much potential cars from the classic era going waste.

Yesterday in Mumbai the WIAA along with the traffic police inaugurated 'Road Safety Week'. Gracing the occassion was Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan, Home Minister R R Patil as well the transport commissioner and WIAA chairman Nitin Dossa.

Two classics were invited to be present, Team BHPians bulldogji with his impressive 1937 Buick Tourer and our very own 'President' Rony was there with his 1964 Fiat Super Select.

The Transport Commissioner was invited to personally check the PUC levels of the Fiat to impress upon the fact that older cars do not necessarily mean polluting cars. Rony of course flew the Fiat flag high and the car was well below the stipulated norms, as was the Buick (which is in very regular use, to which the owner credits this). Let us hope this puts out a good signal when it comes to future legislation.

Hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did and I take this oppurtunity on behalf of FCCCI - Mumbai, to thank Mr. Sameer Kadam (man with the BIG heart) for hosting the party today, at CCD, Carter Road, Bandra.

We must give "3 Cheers" to our diehard FIATIAN KARL for driving down 180 kms from Pune, in Amol's Fiat, just for the meet, an activity that is now something normal for his crazy FIATISM, at all our monthly events.
Nevertheless, Abhishek and Tejas who should also be commended for having caught up with us, after an exciting and hectic off roading event they had been for, at Mhape.
We missed all the others who couldn't make it, but I'm sure that they will make up, by coming for the next planned MEGA RALLY in mid January.

Let the pictures do the talking as usual now:
DEAR AMAN SAAB,

visit to Mumbai. Please let me know the date of this year Vintage
car rally in advance.

Regards,

ANAND
