Hello everyone, we (my friend Sandeep and I) have learnt a lot from this forum and it is solely because of the information exchanged that Sandeep ventured to restore his 1960 model Fiat 1100. Amongst all the threads, we would especially like to thank Ravi (Super Select) and Manish Alive for their exhaustive, well documented restoration process.

Presently, Sandeep's car is being worked on with majority of the material procured though Sandeep frequently visits Mumbai under some or the other context!

Attached are some photographs of Sandeep's Fiat 1100.....

Wow that's whole lot of stuff . The tail Lights, the horn and the 1100 / D badge are not correct for the Select your friend has. But then Jalwa horn is a period accessory.

Now some questions.

1. What is the black cylindrical thing in between bumper guards.

2. Next to that what is the stuff wrapped in plastic abd card board.

3. In the second picture part of cabin light's is visible, can we have a clear picture of them. They seem to be rectangular and correct type for selects.

4. And lastly the very important (millicento badge might not have come for your friend's car), where did you got the millicento badges that go in front and rear of the car. Are they original, did your friend got them in Mumbai.

And then there is a PM for you

Whoa thats some serious parts collection. I am amazed to see the Aluminum window winders and Plate lights. Nice collection of Fiat badges too and not to mention the hard to find Original Brake fluid reservoir cap. Kudos to your friend for acquiring these rare and hard to find parts.

@Manishalive: Manish bhai whats wrong with the Horn button or is it the Horn ring you are referring to.

There is a great Fiat commercial on Youtube. Does anyone know how to place a link to a youtube video here?

Simple....in the video page on youtube, you find a button marked "share" and on clicking that, you find the URL of that video page highlighted in a box. Just copy and paste here.

Well i thought you were strictly a 1100 guy but hey hopefully someday our club can have a mini commercial like this. Personally i think in our country we need Fiats to run commercials which hark on the history of the Fiat marque in the minds of the general public.

You are right Amol. I am for 1100's very very strictly. But human nature is such that one tends to get carried away sometimes.
And I hold you responsible to tempt me to deviate from my path with the lovely commercial you posted.
After all, they are FIATS at the end of the day.

Saw this rather unhappy looking Elegant at Worli, Mumbai. (Or is is a Millecento, going by the side trim ???)
Vandals are trying to peel off her roof gutter trim.
