We are planning to have a monsoon drive this month on one of the coming Sundays, but need a better rainy weather with your prayers. We then organise it and get going.

I had found this in a German magazine. They were comparing the Opel Kadett A with a VW Beetle, Ford Taunus 12M and NSU-Fiat 1100 Neckar. They say that though almost forgotton today, this car built by NSU based on a Fiat was one of the most successful cars in Germany after the war. Over a million sold over one and a half decades. The numbers are there, 1750000 sold between 1953 to 1968. But you see hardly any survivors in Germany. There would have been 4 to 5 model changes, some NSU-Fiats were seen in Mumbai, was a hardy car.
Fiat also had a model 2100 which were also seen in Mumbai, corresponds to the number of my posts.

Cheers harit

MRH 4863 center light is back at Kala Niketan compound.
My heart skipped a beat seeing her parked around back of the compound. I dont know why but find myself drawn to her for no reasons.

Hi Ariessonu,
By any chance is the car currently parked in a workshop near Hiranandani Powai ? I happened to spot a near identical car while driving down the otherday unfortunately couldn't stop to take a closer look.

Yes Adheesh, Its at my friend's garage in Powai. She is the first car near the gate. BTW were you there in a blue/white Select? I saw one yesterday driving past the garage but the rear was banged.
We moved her there recently as I had to park another of my 'recent acquisition' at my blessed parking space in my scoiety. We'll be moving her to Reay Road garage for resto by this week.
Now no questions about 'recent acquisition' PLEASE.

No no, I happened to pass the workshop at around 3 am ( ) after dropping somebody off at the airport, else I would surely have stopped and had a closer look.

But my curiosity still remains to that rear-ended blue/white select (Bombay registered) which was being slightly rashly driven near Powai.
Who's beauty is that??

& here is a glimpse of MRH 4863 (Kala Niketan Car) taken while passing it on my way to office.

Cheers FCCCI friends and family... a day to rejoice !

Today is FIAT's Foundation Day.

FIAT - The Company with a vision of Quality and Excellence was found of the 11th July 1899 and has stood tall in time ....

As every year we all members of FIAT Classic Car Club of India family join together celebrating the spirit of Passion and Cheers we all share for these charms on wheels that we cherish so dearly....

We all I am sure also share nostalgic memories of all the wonderful events we celebrated across the years and celebrated the foundation day....

The special wonderful occasion was our visit to Ranjangaon Plant and joining FIAT and TATA family ... 50+ members and their FIAT Cars, we specially drove to commemorate the foundation day and sharing our wishes....

On behalf of FCCCI gift the 2 Prajakta Trees that were lovingly planted by Mr Giovanni de Fillipis - MD FIAT India and by Mr Rao - Sr. GM TATA Motors ... marking the close bondings of the two organisations... and also of our two great nations India and Italy.

Best regards,

Subhash Karmarkar

I last saw that car (or a similar one, also MH 03 registered) lying for scrap at CST road - the front end was burnt and damaged.
