Hi Rony,

How was the place and where did you had lunch? Did you all went for boating?

The pics shows the same atmosphere when we had been there on 10th July...the river and the mountains looked awesome!

We can have a joint meet once again after the rains, what say?

The place was just awesome for a perfect Drive and Picnic with fellow enthusiastic FIATians from Mumbai and Pune. And the lunch was to die for.....Chicken Handi, Chicken Kolhapuri and yummy Butter Rotis and Naans. I guess there was only one place for dining at the Lake (Lohgad Restaurant) where we took shelter from the continuous drizzle and spent time with each other chit chatting at leisure, while enjoying the meal.

On behalf of all the FCCCIans I must thank you in recommending this lovely location which inspired us to get there and have a great time, just as much as you guys at PUG did on the 10th July.

We must surely repeat this drive cum picnic during winter with one and all from FCCCI (Mumbai/Pune) and PUG families together.

The pictures themselves relay how much each one of you must have enjoyed. The weather must have also accentuated the joyous spirit. I am definitely in for the re-ride when it happens.

Some images of my friend Sandeep's Fiat 1100.

The car is yet not complete as some parts like door handles are not available. Final polishing and electricals are to be worked on.

I might have a couple of aluminium handles (outer) lying at home. The spring action is weak although they should still work.
'will check and revert.

I always note newspaper photographs showing Mumbai street scenes. Very often they will have a Fiat taxi in them. Like in this picture. But one must note that these are reducing, and soon they will fade away as memoties.
As a result of abuse where at least 8 people are sitting on this taxi, a Santro or Maruti would have a couple of dents, never mind that there would not be sufficient space on which to seat 8 people.
How many Maruti Gypsy's do you see nowadays? They are also fading away.

Cheers harit

Glad to see the car get a new lease on life. She stood for ages for sale.

KALA NIKETAN car is back on the road (in front of the ML showroom)

If I'm not wrong then this is her first TBHP appearance.
I took this pic as soonest I noted her, at last minute, sandwiched between other cars forlornly parked on that busy street.

Hey Amar, the car's looking nice !!

Just yesterday a friend and T-bhpian from Pune saw her tearing down the street, and called me up to report the spotting !!!

Have the side trims on the left side not been fitted yet? I don't see any holes either - is the picture deceptive, or is it my eyes ?

Looks like she had the door handles and the front bonnet strip then. Must have been vandalized during the interim.

Hi Ravi,

Most of the cosmetic additions are yet to be added.

Sandeep has the side trims that will be added once the car is polished.

1 The brand name FIAT stands for ‘Fabbrica Italiana Automobile, Torino’, an
acronym of the name and location of the car’s Italian manufacturer.
