Dear all - BML8684 belongs to Cyrus's friend's father. It is located in a lane off Forjett Street. I believe it has covered more than 3 lakh kms. It is regularly used to travel out of Mumbai. It is always painted black with silver top, the colour is never changed.

Best regards,

hey guys need some help again

i'm using my fiat this monsoon instead of storing it away for 3 months
so far the car is driving along beautifully
except for 2 niggles

one is the wiper and the other is the head lamps
though i have the original wiper motors and blades and arms installed
i'm not satisfied with the performance
so i was curious is there is any other modern car wiper mechanism which i can install in my car just for the monsoon.

the head lamps yes i'm looking to upgrade them too to something more modern.

gurus guide me

Dear Jubin - you have the elegant, isn't it? This car came with link operated wiper system with differential sweep angle. You can replace it completely with the Padmini wiper system which is cable operated. Please use RH parking wiper motor. You will have to drill 4 holes, 3 on the LH fender and 1 in the bulkhead top panel and rework the wiring harness to suit the operating switch. For headlights, please refer my detailed post on page number 60 of the lighting thread in this forum.

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Spotted this freshly restored Select / Super Select (don't recollect now) on one of my return journeys from Bombay. Karl had seen this very car on sale (perhaps inspired by the advertisement for Quikr) 1959 ITALIAN FIAT FOR SALE - Mumbai: Cars in Mumbai at Quikr Mumbai

Also spotted this '57 driving back from Lonavala last weekend:

Good to see the ol' Fiats regaining favour, Kiran. It's amusing though, actually a bit ironic, that they are getting an outing with the advent of the rains...given the love-hate relationship that Fiat distributors had with the rains in the olden days, especially with the splash-guard underneath removed. Good to see a few out nonetheless. The cloudy ghats make a lovely pic. Thanks.

Wow, quite a neat car! Any idea about the owner? Looks like he might need a pair of the roof side pattis, which I have!

In the late 80's I had put Wagner Sealed Beams into my Fiat. It was american made and had 75 watts on the highbeam. I wonder if you still get them at operahouse.
Cheers

Default FCCCI - Mumbai Monsoon Drive 2012 to Pawana

Hi friends,

Do keep yourselves free on Sunday, 22nd July 2012 for our long awaited FCCCI-Mumbai, Monsoon Drive to Pawana once again by popular demand.

We are re-organising destination Pawana (about 15-20 kms ahead of Lonavla) as we had a blast there last year and would enjoy going there once more with those who couldn't make it, then.
Rendesvouz as usual over the Bandra railway track bridge before Kalanagar at 0845 am.

Tentatively, we can leave our rendesvouz spot around 9 am and spend time there doing the five F's, before having Lunch and later return to Aamchi Mumbai by 4 or 5pm.

In the meantime, do pour in your confirmations with family and friends.

1. Cyrus +2
2. Gogi +3
3. Rony +2
4.

Do we get to see the E34 running majestically that day? That way I will be tempted further to do nothing but twiddle my thumbs from Bandra East and back, that day.
