So someone indeed tried to bring her back, even if it was a half heart attempt. Are those lights ORIGINAL or lets says close to original?
I think I should speak to owner? May be.. just may be I..

I suspect this car is familiar? The number seem so but not able to place it exactly...I guess he put that 1958 poster in the rear windscreen as films are now banned?

A neglected '57 is seen in Bombay. Still seems salvagable.

If not possible to make concours, she could still make a nice hotrod that'd BLOw all other cars off the roads!

I don't see anything which can stop this car being on of the best, it has got most of the parts intact. I guess this must have been a well maintained or a daily runner before getting to this stage, anyone really wanted a vintage to restore and relish this is can be the lucky one.

I just returned to Calcutta for the winter and took my 1962 Fiat, WBF-1, out of storage. Took awhile for the engine to smooth out but I find that my 2 year old new water pump is on it's last legs after about 3,000 km!

I'm told that the Autolite pump is the best but have been unable to find one here in Calcutta.

Would appreciate advise as to which pumps are the best and if any might be available in Bombay or Pune. I'll try and find something here but would like to
have one for future need.

So good to be back and will be here till May and am planning a long drive and see more of the Country.

Thanks for any advise and help.

Saw this baby being driven rather spiritedly and with full-on confidence. That too with a full board of four adults - on the Thane highway. Seems like a daily runner, and well kept!!
Wonder where the MXR registration is from..

Not exactly the same as in the picture, but can someone help in suggesting the model to which this kind of trunck handle could be fitted. Possibly an after market accessory.

Here is a nice tribute to the fading kaali-peeli cabs of Bombay. Appeared in the Indian Express recently.
