Default FCCCI - Mumbai Monsoon Drive, Sunday, 13th July 2014

We had a great drive and meet with a lot of Fiatful talk as usual at our favorite place - 'The Harbour View Hotel' in Colaba, Mumbai.
Conducive monsoon weather and cozy ambience at the seafront roof top over breakfast.
Will let the pictures do the talking now.

Great pictures of Fiat owners. BUT, where were their FIATS??

Viveck and Amal seem to be the only bravehearts?

Sorry for the late reply but most of us stow away our cars in the monsoon to hibernate as they are prone to rust quicker than other classics.

Being over-protective, we sadly do not have a heart to use them in the monsoon.

+1 to the above comment.

Need of the hour is for FIATians to unite more than the FIATs.

Wonderful pictures!

Recently I had the opportunity to visit the louwman museum in the Netherlands where I came across this curious custom built boat car on a fiat 1100 chassis. Attaching the description so you can read a bit on the car.

Celebrations and joys as Our FIAT Classic Car Club of India family

will soon complete 10 years

on 15th August 2004!

Friends, what a time dream ride for all of us celebrating our FIAT Classic Car Club of India movement!

FCCCI family will soon reach the milestone completing 10 years of pure bonded togetherness.

Thanks to the cherishing support of Media, our club marked its beginning on 15th August 2004.

Beginning in Pune, its been a wonderful fission of huge connect of all FCCCI family all over our great nation. As we all say, there is no President, Committee, Secretary et al... Because FCCCI is one big family !

Big cheers for each and every member of our FCCCI family!

Along with the Annual meets and cherishing drives, the most cherishing moments have been the

Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations and rides that we all have conducted in honor of the dedicated members of different fraternities who have given unparallel selfless contributions for our nation. We are glad to have joined together to dedicate our warmest gratitude to tall members of Armed Forces family, Police Force family, Fire Brigade family, Teachers fraternity, Agricultural fraternity, Injured Soldiers Rehabilitation Centers and Institutes, Old Age Home families, Blind School family, Environment Protection family, Special Celebrations honoring Dignity and Labor of love honoring the Veteran Mechanics and Car Care support professionals because of whom our cars could be maintained for so many years along with Automotive Spare Part dealers, dedicated members of Medical Fraternity, to name a few...

Since 2004 onwards, its been a pride to organize these cherishing events that many of you have helped to organize, participate, grace and bond.

And the journey of ours continues pals.

Let me try to put across the different milestones that we all have tried to cherish and cruise in this wonderful journey of life with our charms on wheels.

Cheers and bests.

Subhash

Recently came across this photo, these may be the owners, there appears to be a Canadian connection with the gent.
This photo is with the folks, there is another of the car only. Enlarged the grill, any significance to it?
Does the car survive?

Cheers harit

What a beautifully composed shot. Never seen a bonnet fitting so well

Note the typical 'Bombay Central' number plate font and the sticker on the windscreen stating recomended gearshift speeds. I wonder which tyre treads those are - seems to be only in the centre.

I tried very hard to see whether the grill monogram reads "Eleven Hundred" or " Millecento" unfortunately cant tell.

Amol, I am 100% sure it is an "Elevenhundred" logo. How- count the number of vertical slats / horizontal squares on each side of the logo. Millicento spelling being small will leave 15 squares on each side. This one has 14 squares. Check other Bangalore cars with "Elevenhundred" logo and you will understand what I mean .

For reasons beyond my control I have missed all FCCCI rallies this year but this one is the one I will regret mots. What a weather and nice turnout of members too.
