Zak it is not landy baba. It is LANDO.
Anyways, the first LANDO is beautiful.

Btw karl, Do you remember the LANDO you saw zip by my house when you were here last time? Well that was a sunday wasnt it. And i saw it last sunday too. And today a friend of mine told me he saw "a phunny looking vintage car that looks like an amby from the front and a dukkar fiat from the back (chuckle chuckle) in the colony AGAIN. So guess this guy comes only on sundays. Next time i am going to wait for him!!

Yeah, it was a blue coloured car with a BLI regn if I remember correctly. Be armed with a camera.

Nope, My brother uses this car on a daily basis and some time ago he decided to "hot rod" it and put in a 1.8 Isuzu petrol engine and gearbox combo. that explains the split seats.
The brightwork was replated during the repaint a few weeks ago.

Karlosdeville, you are right about the GB sticker, will get it of soon.

Cheers,

I really have no idea - I have no status update myself. The car has been "ready for painting" since March - this is the status whenever I ask about progress.

The plan right now is to get that paint back on and take the car to Koya's in Coimbatore to do the interiors including airconditioning and dashboard (we dont have an original dashboard yet).

In hindsight, Prasad was right:

I have lost all faith in the time frames given by mechanics, garage people and everyone else involved in getting the work done....I hope your guys are as good as you think they are...

P.S. Who/what are MotorSmiths?

Cheers..

W H A T ? ? ?
The car is not ready yet???????

If the car is not do-able by Motorsmiths, then atleast they should inform Steeroid by now. No car takes more than 2 weeks for a proper paintjob. 2 months???? A bit tad too much.

@Karl. Yes, I understand it's going to be worthwhile. But the complaint Steeroid has here is due the irresponsibility from Motorsmiths. They could've atleast kept him updated with the problems they have in finishing the car's job. Afterall, he has selected a professional workshop and not just another wayside mechanic. Ain't it??? Or was he wrong in understanding them??

Motorsmiths?? Santhosh I believe the car was going to be done & out of there months ago. Why is still not out, done or not done??

And has the engine confusion been sorted out by them or not?
