For a change its nice to see a Landmaster being restored compared to the many old Fiats. Have you decided on the color yet?

Congrats on your project. It will be interesting to know the details of how restoration of a classic happens. Keep us posted on the details.

I will say a prayer for you Steer.. and in case the prayer doesn't work..GOOD LUCK with it anyways!!

I have lost all faith in the time frames given by mechanics, garage people and everyone else involved in getting the work done....I hope your guys are as good as you think they are...

P.S. Who/what are MotorSmiths?

Cheers..

I found the following on ebay and bought them. The first I'm not sure whether I should put on the car, the other one is going in anyway:

Zakkie has some updated pics of the car at MotorSmiths, where he's taken his 'Star' for some work.

Steer, Im afraid both items arent original to your car. Your car sports the very hard to find Landmaster and H logo all 3 in very good shape, hang on to them. The Oxford badge you have is of a much later model. The Speedo too is incorrect. The Landy has gorgeous gold meters, and it would be criminal to fit anything else. Try some of the Morris clubs in the UK, they should be able to help soucing a pair.

Gold ones? I wish you had told me that black would do as well. Instead of bidding for them, I could have sourced them in Pune.

I meant dash and switches - I have the set of meters that you've shown in the pics above. Those are the ones given to me by jyobeb.

I dont mind having bid on the other one - it only cost me 7.50 pounds sterling.

Hmm, those are from an Amby, and should fit in your current dash with a new centre piece. Snoop around for the gold meters (and one set for me too ), they will transform the car completely.

My good friend from Coimbatore, Quicksilver, has offered to give me a really antique pair of wind tone horns and an equally old pair of bosch chrome grille external horns.

His dad had been saving them up in the hope that QS would need them, but he's been gracious enough to offer those to me.

Thank you, QS - I'll take you up on the offer!
