Recently at the Auto Expo there was a superb display of old photos, documents, ads and other automobilia from the collection of Farhan Kidwai and Sandeep Katari. They dated from the early 1900s onwards, and were a treat to see.

Here is a selection of some later India specifics, my favorites.

OH these are lovely Toyota's I have seen couple of them with the local Gov't Department and were up for auction. Need to check the situation now. Since they were inline six cylinder petrol they were guzzlers and thus non running.

Hopefully the Paint Colour Cards of the various standard colours offered can be posted as well. This would be an invaluable reference for those wanting to keep to the original colours.

Was there much of a change on colours over the years and was the two-tone colours a factory option, and if so, what choices were offered.

This brochure of the Fiat 1400 reminds me- they would've been sold here, presumably early 50s (pre-millecento) as I remember seeing a pic. of a period brochure from PAL advertising both the Fiat 1400 and 500C. But I've never seen or heard of any example, surviving or otherwise, anywhere. Anyone who knows of a 1400 currently existing?

There were no 5 door version, the red color ones as in the pics posted were there. I will check them out soon.
