The green car is a '30s (I think) Packard...formerly owned by a Rajasthan Royal family @ JalrApathAn...now owned by an eminent collector Deepak Gir.

He was present for today's rally also although no sign of the car this time....

Anyways, coming to that, the rally turned out to be really great, guys! Although the number of cars were a bit fewer than what I'd seen at the 15th aug. rally last year...

'will be uploading the pics. that I took shortly...

OK guys, after some problems uploading the pics. last night, here I go again.....'actually thought I'd be late as I'd got up at 8am yesterday & it was 10.15 by the time me & my mech. reached the venue......but turned out that very few participants had turned up as many of the vehicles had starting trouble!

Many others turned up later...

Surprisingly there were fewer cars this time than at the previous shows Ive attended....

More pics. I guess are to come from Raj/Hillram/others who attended...

This is teambhpian HILLRAM's newly done up Super Select:

And the ever-present LHD Super-select:

The initial fiat line-up (mine is the blue/white select):

More to come....am having trouble now & then with my net so uploading the pics. in multiple posts rather than one itself!

A very original mk1 Amby......another regular to the events:

I liked the interiors even more- note the dealer's plate....I didnt know Patny co. sold Ambys though, was told they were fiat & later 2-wheeler dealers until they closed shop....

I was expecting more cars: some of them I had seen in June 2006 Deccan Heritage car rally in West Maredpally, Secunderabad.

3 Baby Austins (maroon, silver & green)
Standard flying (40's)
Black Humber Hawk 16hp (very rare)
Mayflower already seen in pics
Packard (Deepak Gir) green
Truimp White Sedan
Truimp convertible white
Austin Healey red convertible
Cadillac convertible
La salle maroon convertible
Consul black
Austin 10 (1948) black
Chevrolet convertible silver
Buick 8 beige
Morris minor black
Mini Morris Red
VW Beetle golden yellow

I am sure there are more cars, hope to see all participants and their collections.

Yes I too wonder why the 3 baby austins didnt turn up this time......they were quite regular to the rallies earlier..

I didnt know we had a La Salle here!!

The white Triumph convertible you refer to is the Triumph Tr3 or the Herald (actually a Standard one but fitted with Triumph lettering on the bonnet) convertible? The latter I had seen in the August 2005 rally but the owner didnt bring her after that...

There also was another '57 Fiat elegant in black that Ive seen pics. of in previous rallies..and also a much more original 2-door Black Minor in the last rally...not to mention the metallic blue Citroen DS!

Great pics Stanher. Isnt one of the Fiats yours? The Verde-ish turquoise blue?
Loved the Mark-I Amby. Even has the plate of the Dealership that delivered it. Wow. Would love to get my hands on a good Mark-I.
Meanwhile, somewhat, the Mumbai VCCCI rally has been announced for the 22nd or 23rd Feb I think. So who is coming for that?
More pics bro?
