I ve got one similar to this. The worst cars in Britain that never sold or something like that. Its lurking somewhere in one of my book cupboards...

Recently visited Oxford Bookshop in One MG Road and bought these two lovely Coffee Table books which I will never leave around casually on any table, Coffee or otherwise....

The definitive visual encyclopaedia of cars is particularly lovely and the Skyfall one is beautiful because of my favourite Aston of all time, JB's BMT216A!

Yesterday I got my hands on an owner's handbook for Jawa 250 Perak, plus some guide books for Lamretta and Vespa.

Today I was graciously gifted a Mk 4 owner's manual.

With this I now have the owner's manuals for Hindustan 14, Landmaster, Amby Mk 1 to 4

Can anyone find me a Baby Hindustan manual?

Ok, The seller from which I bought too had just one Automotive book.

By the way There is an OM book shop in Phoenix Mall, Bangalore. Stocking some good Automotive books (including books by Gautam sen). I got this one from there. Harit and other B&W nostalgic picture buff would love the book.

Struck gold yesterday with an original Indian 1100D spare parts catalogue, as well as a Padmini parts catalogue (probably from the 70s/80s)

Dear Karl - you really struck gold! See the handwritten comment "PAB46309 - plug wire Set - PP Car". I had generated this part number in R&D in February 1989 for the "8 mm diameter with improved insulation spark plug wire set". I still remember that the length of the wire for spark plug no 1 was 410 mm. PAB46000 series was used for the new drawings released for the Padmini. The wire set was made by a vendor in Chembur.

What is really heartening to see are the magic words "PP Car" as the Padmini was known by this mame inside the plant. Wonderful memories, forever!

Best regards,

Behram Dhabhar

Dear Behram,

I hope you remember me.we used to meet in the heydays of the 1980/1990's.
I have just acquired a used MM 540, 4 WD.
I need some advise on Jeep engine gear box combinations circa 1990-1992.
I also need to discuss what wheels & tyres are best suited.
May I request your mobile contact to my e mail id shramik.masturlal@gmail.com ?
Kind regards,
