According to him his car is in Goa. So I said this has been photographed in panjim. He's too sly so Im wondering how he got cheated off the merc irself.
Well, the ex Merc owner is wrong. Time may have something to do with it. I am so sure because I was told of this story in the early 1990's, I was told that the car went to Delhi, and shortly thereafter I was in Delhi and saw the car participating.
There is a similar car in Goa, that came from Karnataka, and is not complete because some chrome parts were misplaced. And BYZ and BYK are not too far apart, I do not remember seeing many BYK registered vehicles. BTW, maybe the car was painted in other colours? Or the tale of the car being sent to Goa was part of the con? Doesn't he have old family pictures to compare? That is why I wanted to meet him.

Cheers harit

Harit I know my neighbour for many years. Had it been a BYZ in the photo you sent, he would have surely said his car was a BYK. I am sure you're correct and this is the same car. Yep it was a different colour when he had it. Perhaps cream and red I am saying this from memory which is not 100% cos it was so long ago. Maybe we'll meet him someday, cos just called him up about the photos he might have. And he's said the merc in Goa is missing parts in it. Of course he says he doesn't have any photos even though he used it as his own wedding car. So??

The Smiths meters seem to be giving way to Pricol blackdials. The red stripes are something that could have been avoided. But overall a well kept example or rather a well restored example.

Depends on who you talk to the market for them is not what it used (read high) to be but hangover still exists, although coming down at a fast rate from what I see.

Well I am not going to discuss the price online for reasons we all know It would cost me the same if I took a scrappy car and worked on it, But ofcourse I would do it differently. This looks like one of those wedding cars they so love to rent out in the UK.

Twin tail lights would probably make it a Biscayne.
