Hi,
This is my 3rd lot of photos.
This time only my Austin is covered.
She is an 1930 Austin 12/4 Burnham Saloon. Plenty of them in England but I do not know of another one in India.
Restored with the help of the Vintage Austin Register,England. The body is supported on wooden frames;coach work as they say.Hence more wood work had to be done rather than sheet metal work.Brass lamps, wooden flooring.

Hi,
This is the Fiat 1100 Rally car of the seventies. I used to Rally & Race in that era;both in Bombay & Madras. Recently I bought one Fiat and prepared it to Rally Specs for pure nostalgia.Even reproduced the old stickers such as "Firestone" who, gave us the tyres & IARC , the club founded by Nazir Hoosein,of which I was one of the first members.Fitted a Halda Speed Pilot too.

Lovely cars, Sir! I particularly recall reading about your Essex restoration. It was described to be even worse than the way you mention though.

Incidentally, was Madras city regn. always starting with MS series? I suppose MD (Madras district?) was for the districts in the state.
Also is your fiat a 1100 delight?

The first Madras registration was MC .This was superseeded by MSC.My Essex was originally MC according to the RC
The FIAT in fact is a Premier Padmini.

Its indeed a commendable work! Btw, did you pick this car in AP? (APQ = Kurnool dist. regn.)
And I notice many vintage car owners who buy cars from other states keep the old regn. for a long time. However, I understand there is officially no exception for vintage vehicles also?
