My BEETLE TO Fire Today...FINALLY

i fell like a child today
my yellow beetle which went through a year of restoration is finally ready to fire today.
its my second beetle, the other being the blue convertible which i have posted in another thread.
this car had engine issues and was not developing oil pressure at all,
thanks to karl and keith in helping me locate mr. mahesh panchal who has worked on the engine since two weeks ans has just finsihed installing it this morning.
this afternoon we are planning to crank it
all fingers crossed, hope she develops pressure and runs well
im damn excited and nervous

well well well it did start
sounded superb
that mahesh is quite the guy old fashioned but great none the less
small problem
carb needs to be changed cause there is continous vacuum
i have a spare 34 but thats too much. a 28 is best
will change the distributor to a 009 also
bangkok here i come
really pleased with the engine though
was smiling througout the entire mondy thursday mass
and karl sorry buddy already gave him the convertible morris' engine
and two dailmer's are in line.
will post pics once the car is up and running cause im scared to post them now

anyways heres of my blue convertible and there is a fiat for you as well mr. karl

Here are all the pics I have, starting from a 57, and I think the latest is a 74. My count is 10 cars, but thats including the Yellow GDL 2968 which appears suspect if you see the windscreen. The owner however insisted it was a genuine convertible. I doubt it.
